Top Rated for Ultra Light Hikers

Same material as the Helium Rain Jacket. Sizing is perfect. Keeps me dry for short periods of time. Don't expect these to keep you dry all day! They work for an hour or so then wet through, but that's expected. These are excellent for through hiking when weight means everything!

Good foul-weather pants

Seem to fit true to size. I'm 5'10" 160lbs and wear 30/32 pants. These fit over most of my pants without a problem and I haven't had any issues with movement restriction. These have been a great addition to my foul weather gear for my boat.

Great gear if you prioritize weight over staying dry

Pay close attention to the waterproof rating on this. The weight savings and packability come with a tradeoff. Anything more than a light drizzle and the rain will quickly soak through. Would not recommend if you plan on taking into the backcountry in the cold/wet months

Lightweight rain gear keeping me dry

Very impressed with the waterproofing for such a lightweight pant. I bought these primarily for bike commuting in the northwest coast of British Columbia and they've kept me completely dry with water coming from all directions. The large/tall are a perfect fit for me (6'4" 175lbs). Have yet to trial these on extended hikes, but I'm optimistic that the light weight and solid waterproofing will make them a good addition to the gear. Only change I would make right now would be to have a front pocket rather than a rear pocket. Will see if they are durable in the long term, but I've been using an OR rain jacket for the past 6 years and it's still keeping me dry so hopefully these pants meet that standard.

Lightweight

Convenient to just put it in your bag and take it out when it rains.

Helium pant

Bought these to add to my biking/ hiking pack. Been carrying the jacket around for years and has been great during bouts of rain on the trail . The pants will complete the kit . I sized up so I could wear over my hiking pants and they fit great. Expect to get many years from these pants if the jacket is any indication. They both pack down incredibly small and are a great piece of kit.

Perfect for those unexpected downpours

These pants fold up into their pocket and take up very little space, which is great because I keep them in my toptube bag on my bike for those unexpected downpours. They are a perfect balance between waterproof and breathable for active pursuits in unsavory weather.

Excellent Pant

I brought these pants along on a recent multi-day hike. I needed something lightweight, waterproof and breathable, these fit the bill. They pack down to take up almost no space and weight next to nothing. On our second day I got to try them out as we went from sun to showers pretty quickly. They did fit over my hiking pants okay, but I would recommend sizing up 1x from whatever you would normally buy. On the 3rd and 4th day it snowed and rained(respectively) and I ended up just wearing the pants over a set of merino thermals which worked like magic. I was never feeling like I was overheating at all, never noticed any moisture buildup and stayed bone dry from the elements. I did have some solid wear in the area around the hip belt for my pack and would maybe suggest OR add some small amount of heavier material in those areas. All in all, would highly recommend these pants for the weight and space limited.

Not Waterproof

These pants are ok, and if I'm in the rain for a brief period, all is well. If I spend more than an hour or so in the rain, however, the pants soak through and my clothes beneath get wet.
