My new favorite jacket

Excellent jacket to layer, tolerates rain sprinkles but needs rain jacket on top in heavy rain where I live great pockets and hood and I love the light blue color

My new essential layer for winter/shoulder season hiking and backpacking. Surprisingly warm for the weight.

Durable

Bought for my daughter who is 13 and hard on her gear! Wears it skiing and to school. Hood is excellent for late night walks and hanging around the slopes. After two seasons this jacket has years to go. Very durable inside and out.

Great lightweight puffy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It fits well, feels good, and is well made. The jacket was a lighter weight than I anticipated, which is why I returned it. I wish they included fill weight in the product specs the same way they add fill power.

Great coat for the money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to buy this coat after I watched the price decrease. I really like Outdoor Research products and it had great reviews. It's much warmer than I anticipated, and it is sufficiently water resistant to wear in the Seattle climate that is often rainy. The only way it could be improved upon is if the fabric was less stiff and more packable. Otherwise I have no complaints. It just doesn't fit in my work backpack if I wear it to work in the morning but it is sunny in the afternoon.

Great all around jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the weight, fit and style, but it is also super technical and fits easily into its own pocket.

LIGHTWEIGHT WARMTH

I live in Anchorage Alaska where the temperatures can be extreme (single digits one week and 20s next week) in the winter. I already owned an Outdoor Research coat from about 5 years ago so knew what size to order. I decided to order the two tone blue coat and love it. I am 5'7", 130 lbs, 36b bra size and have broad shoulders and a straight body type. Medium fits great. This coat is light as a cloud and warm. This coat is suited for 20s to 30s F weather. Great for spring and fall especially. I wore it getting on a plane to Hawaii in February and when I returned. Packs well. Love it.

This runs large.

I just came to say this runs one size large. I have had two different OR down hoodies both medium with a perfect fit. This I had to return for a small. Which fits just right. I'm 5'5" 125# and I don't want the jacket tight. The medium was ridiculously large on me however, not like my previous jackets at all. The small is good.
