Why We Like The Fjallraven Keb Trouser

Fjallraven's Keb Trouser is made of stretchy recycled and organic G-1000 fabric for serious freedom of movement and durability. The knees are articulated and have extra-song seams so we don't blow them out, and zippered vents and an extended fly help keep us cool if the going gets hot. Fjallraven also included adjustable cuffs with boot hooks to keep grass, dirt, and snow from sneaking down into our socks

Durability

I bought this a month ago and I’m very pleased. Have not yet how to use the wax. I booked trees, choker, set, work in the mountains, logging seven days a week 12 hour days. These pants have held off so far. I wish they had suspender buttons in the back.

Material is Exceptional - Fit is not

I really wish these pants worked for me. The material combination is pretty brilliant, as the faced lowers and seat feel very durable and the stretch and breathability of the remainder of the pant is great. The main drawback to me is the fit. The pants are incredibly tight thru the thighs, crotch and seat, in relationship to the waist size of the pant. I am typically a men’s 36 or 38 waist depending on the pant and purchased a 38 in these to account for the tightness in the legs and seat. While the waist fit well, the legs and seats were just too snug for comfortable use so I ended up returning them. These are a great pant, but a relaxed version would improve the fit for some of us.

Only pants I wear

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Love these pants, very comfortable. Not bad in the heat and cold. Wear these pants to work every day. Very pricey and they don’t last as long as I would like but the comfort is worth it.

Great pant- need a real camo pattern offering

Great pant. Probably the best pants I have ever owned. I use these for elk hunting and my only complaint would be to have a true camo pattern offered in the lineup. The current camo pattern just doesn’t cut it. Also wouldn’t mind a 36” inseam.

Not for brush.

I like the fit and comfort of my kebs. But where I live (New Jersey), there is a lot of vegetation that sports what we call hitch hikers. That's the seedling, briar like, little gremlins that attach to your clothing when you brush against these plants walking. The bad news is they STICK like VELCRO and GLUE to the polyester/cotton stretch fabric and it is a PITA to pick them off! When I say stick, I MEAN stick! It is not a deal breaker for me but I will never wear them again knowing I'll be wading in brush. Otherwise, I enjoy the comfort, ventilation as needed, and they look awesome. I got instant compliments from my snooty brothers who asked about them but we're put off by the price. Don't get me wrong... I truly like them. But be advised...them hitch hikers will fill your dance card around the campfire picking them off for HOURS! Now if you don't mind the stubble as your hands brush against them, you could leave them be and wear them off. Me? I can't stand em. I gotta pick them off.

9/10 hiking pants

1 year and 1000 km's on these pants in the woods, trails and mountains, during 3 seasons. I had 1 small tear in the bum from shale rocks, other than that, they have been extremely durable. My local Fjallraven outlet has since repaired and waxed them for free. The 4 leg vents, when opened, create a nice draft to cool off your legs. Also, you can easily roll up the pant legs to just below your knees to cool off further. The right leg pocket has a cell phone spandex slot inside which is awesome, the left leg pocket has a zipper under the button flap. The bottom of each leg has a metal hook inside the folded layer to attach to your boot laces, to keep the legs taut when needed, but is otherwise completely un-noticeable. The 2 front belt loops have extra loops directly under them, for carabiner clips, which I use regularly. The stretchy fabric (usually the lighter colour of the 2 colours) is incredible and I cannot hike without it after seeing its performance. One can easily move without restriction. The tough G-1000 fabric (usually the darker of the 2 colours) is fairly tough and does feel heavy or discomforting at all. My only complaint is *NO bum pockets* . However, a Fjallraven outlet will supply you with color-matching fabric to have another tailor make bum pockets for you. 9/10 hiking pants. (Pricing losses 1 point) The free tailoring, repairs and annual waxing helps justify the pricing a little bit. But I recommend you buy them on sale TBH.

Best pants ever!

I have had two pair of these pants for a while. These are the best pants ever! I bought some for my fiancée when we were dating and we got engaged wearing the kebs as well!! They can get a little hot in summer time/tropical climates but in any other temperature other than super hot these are the go to!
