Good, comfortable hiking shoes
I did a lot of research on hiking shoes before buying Merrill Moab 3 waterproof shoes. They are comfortable and good and were priced right!

Comfortable, not waterproof.
Not waterproof. I've been wearing them all (dry) summer. Very comfortable. Purchased to replace an earlier version Merrell that wasn't spec'd as waterproof. Today, just through wet morning dew grass, that's all, I came back with damp socks & the boot liners are wet throughout the toe box. Very disappointed & hoping Merrell steps up. I would try the GORE Tex version if you need waterproof.

Size inconsistency
This looks like a good quality shoe, but size runs narrow.

Better listed as water resistant?
I walked yesterday and didn't enter the stream, but got close enough that water got into the right shoe to make my sock wet. At best, these maybe water resistant.

Favorite Moab for Rain and Snow
Wear them mostly on rainy days and in snowy weather. Tad stiffer than my usual Moabs, but just as comfortable. Highly recommend them. Merrell's Moabs are what everyone in my family wears now and no complaints.

Great for Light Hikes
Took these on a 6 mile hike through Hocking Hills. Really comfortable. The waterproofing was great for the shallow water. I may have opted for hikers with ankle support though. My foot slipped out of one shoe while I was heading down a steeper trail.

5 star on the quality. 1 star on the fit for me
The shoes are well made and look great. I have numerous Merrell hikers and they all fit true. This particular pair just didn’t fit my feet to my comfort

My third pair
Love these can’t wear anything else for long hearty hikes or walks ..snow sleet dirt rocks mud all trails .. get a 1/2 size bigger because they fit small
