Why We Like The Moab 3 Mid Hiking Boot
We count on the Moab 3 Mid Hiking Boot to balance the confident stability of a mid-height hiker with lightweight, breathable comfort to keep us fast and upright. The nylon shanks and protective rubber toe cap improve ankle stability and protect us from rock strikes. The hybrid leather and mesh upper provides lightweight breathability, while a grippy Vibram TC5+ outsole gives us the confident traction we need over muddy trails and wet slickrock.

Great Boot very coomfortable
I bought these boots a couple months ago and so far they are still very comfortable and are holding up very well and i can destroy a pair of boots in no time i wear these boots on an average of 14-16 hours a day and according to my little meter deal i walk 4.5 to 6.5 miles a day every day and these boots are still very comfortable and have no rips or stitching coming undone i will buy another pair and i will wear these boots as long as this quality keeps on with the manufacturer great boot

Extremely disappointed
Disappointed in two things: one the quality - I've logged about 21-22 miles in these boots and the vibram sole is already falling off. If these boots can't handle more than 3 hikes what's the point? 2: sizing - my moab 2s I had in a 13 and were perfectly snug. I ordered a 13 in the Moab 3 and was swimming in them. Even the 12 is too large. Maybe my foot shrunk a little but I doubt it did more than a full size when im 28y.o. seems to be a manufacturing/design change...

Great all purpose boot
Working on my 5th pair of these boots. Used hard working on the farm and hunting. Excellent support and traction. Comfortable and requires no break in period.

Soles came loose on both shoes hiking in Alaska
Soles came loose on both shoes while hiking in Alaska. Pretty sure that moisture had something to do with it. So obviously not 'waterproofx.

Great but no wet traction
I always come back to the Moabs but my only gripe is they have zero wet traction. I like them for being rugged and yet not stiff like most other hiking boots out there but their wet traction can be an issue.

Boundary Waters canoe trip
Comfortable from start of use. We were required to use boots in the water for portaging. They did not dry during my trip, but it was June and they were waded in multiple times a day. I personally like dry feet so non-waterproof shoes were not my favorite, but were required. They still look fine after the trip.

New customer
This is my first pair of Merrells. I gave a four star, as I am still waiting to see how they hold up. So far so good.

Best mid boot on the market
I am a professional outdoor educator and lifelong outdoorsman and the Moab is the best “everyday” boot I’ve ever worn — and this is my third pair. Comfortable right out of the box with a generous toe box and great padding that keeps your feet happy even on 12 hour days.

Men’s Moab 3 Mid Hiking Boot
Very good hiking boot. Durable, very comfortable, and substantial support ( ankle and sole) during challenging hiking trails.
