Snowboard Bags

For frequent flyers, wheeled padded bags are the most practical because they handle airport floors and snow better and often accommodate multiple boards. Models like the Dakine High Roller come in 70–74 inch sizes and weigh around 7–8 lbs, making them sturdy yet manageable for checked luggage.

If you're carrying a single board, choose a slim profile that fits your board length—many standard bags fit up to 70 inches such as Dakine 70 x 13 x 11 models. For two boards or extra gear, look for double-capacity roller bags with extra width so boards sit side-by-side without overhang.

Sleeves give minimal protection suitable for short trips or mild conditions, while non-wheeled padded bags add cushioning with 7–12mm foam for road trips and local travel. Hard cases use rigid shells for maximum dent resistance when boards need serious protection.

Wheeled padded bags make travel much easier over airport floors and snow-covered sidewalks, especially if you’re hauling multiple boards or heavy gear. Expect wheeled models to weigh around 7–8 lbs and to feature reinforced seams and heavy-duty zippers for durability.

Many wheeled and padded bags include multiple compartments and expandable sections so you can stash boots, helmets, and clothes without bulging the main compartment. Look for models with water-resistant 1200D polyester and thick foam padding to protect gear while keeping items organized.
