Why We Like The Outdoor Research Ferrosi Pant

We believe that if you can't wear your current pants up mountain peaks, on long plane rides, and to the brewery after the crag, then it's time to upgrade. And we've found that there are few better options than the Ferrosi Pants from Outdoor Research. Not only does the lightweight nature of these pants make it an easy choice for light-and-fast movement in the mountains, but it also prevents lingering moisture from clinging close to your body for hours on end. Accidentally tip your canoe? No worries, the Ferrosi pants dry up and get the adventure back on track in no time.

I can't say anything about their durability, but they fit great, and are very comfortable. I ordered size 2/Reg (height 5'7", 27 waist, 39.5 hips). Lightweight. This is a rare case when pants look better on me than in the models' pictures :) Side pocket is great.

Hiking pants are always tricky for me & my big butt, but these pants are amazing and had enough space for my rear end and were fitted enough in the waist to stay up. The inner drawstring helps, and I prefer that it is hidden inside so it maintains the look of normal pants. The material is super thin and breathable and packs down quite small. I've now taken these on several hikes and 2 backpacking trips, and have sat on lots of granite with no issues with scuffing. I actually came here to order a second pair in a second color and figured I would leave a nice review so they can live on forever :)

Used for hiking in Iceland

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
6

Used as top layer during hikes in Iceland. The fabric had some scuffing near pockets after layering rain pants on top. Other wise, they worked well even with 2 base layers under. The deep front pockets were definitely a game changer for storing my phine on hikes.

I love these. They are lightweight, comfortable and nice looking as well. The price was awesome compared to most hiking pants. The blue look the best on. The gray was just a little too light in color for me. These were one of my favorite pieces of clothing I took on an 8 day trip into the wilderness.

No wonder these pants are the top rated by Outdoor Gear Lab and many others as the best 3/warm season hiking & outdoor pants! Very breathable, comfortable, moisture wicking; best for warmer and moderate temps. Highly recommend!

Nice hiking pant for warmer weather

As the temperatures rise for the summer in Southern California I want pants that worked in higher elevation hikes that breathe as well a protect from wind. These are cute but really high waisted and a bit long for my short legs. The side pockets are incredibly deep and secure which I love. The front leg pocket is too small for my iPhone in my otter box and most other items I would use it for but my phone works on the left back pocket if needed. The material is very nice and no issues with snags.

Lightweight and Comfortable

Soft, lightweight material. These rise higher at the waist than expected, but they are comfortable and a good length in the leg. They seem to run small, so I had to order another larger size.

Great pants

This is my second pair of these pants. They have just the right amount of stretch and are very breathable. The rise is perfect. I wear them to work and then to hike or do yardwork. Love them. I am 5'7" 142# and wear size 6.
