Women's White Mountain Shorts & Pants

Shorter inseams like 6-inch keep you cooler and give extra mobility for scrambles and hot summer hikes. An 8-inch inseam adds more thigh coverage and protection on steep or brushy terrain without sacrificing much range of motion.

Baggy MTB shorts provide abrasion protection and room for pads, making them ideal for downhill, enduro, and technical trail riding. Lycra or performance fits suit cross-country and speed-focused rides where a close fit reduces drag, and you may want an integrated chamois for longer outings.

Many climbing-focused shorts use two-way or four-way stretch and low-profile seams so they don't bunch under a harness, making them great for bouldering and warm crags. Check for fabrics like 85% nylon/15% spandex and seam placement that avoids groin pressure to stay comfortable during high steps.

Materials such as Matrix double weave and blends like 95% nylon/5% spandex boost abrasion resistance and resist pilling on scrambles. Rab Women's Torque uses Matrix double weave for added durability, and DWR finishes help shed light splashes while speeding dry times.

High-rise waistbands and curved back yokes keep shorts secure and reduce bunching, while roomy hips and four-way stretch allow unrestricted stances without inner-thigh rub. Wunder Train 6"/8" models offer high-rise coverage plus phone pockets, and reinforced seam placement helps avoid groin pressure when wearing a harness.
