Men's Green Bike Jackets & Vests

Consider the conditions and intensity: rain jackets with Gore-Tex or seam-sealed, DWR-treated nylon and waterproof ratings in the 10k–20k mm range work best for wet weather and colder commutes down to about -10C. Windbreakers and lightweight vests made from ripstop polyester or DWR nylon are ideal for mild weather and high-output rides where breathability matters.

Road cyclists usually prefer a closer, athletic cut with pre-curved arms and a drop-tail hem for long rides, while mountain styles favor a bit more room and reinforced Cordura nylon in high-wear zones. Sizing runs small to true, and many riders size up for layering, so compare your chest (36–48 inches) to the brand’s chart.

Lightweight, packable wind vests like the Trek wind vest (about 50 g packable) give core warmth without bulk and work well for cool morning road rides. They often use breathable DWR-treated fabric or mesh panels, so they're best for mild conditions rather than prolonged cold.

Rain jackets in this category offer seam-sealed waterproofing up to 10,000mm and breathable membranes such as Gore-Tex, with breathability ratings often in the 10k–30k g/m2/24hrs range to shed sweat during hard efforts. Expect windproofing to around 30 mph and reinforced seams plus YKK zippers on higher-end models for durability.

Commuter jackets boost visibility with 3M reflective piping and high-contrast panels, and models like the POC commuter jacket add helmet-compatible hoods and magnetic closures for easy use. Multiple zip pockets and adjustable hems make it simpler to lock the fit and carry essentials.
