At just 14 ounces, it adds almost nothing to the load until the moment it matters most.

The details hold up under real conditions. A helmet-compatible hood cinches down tight against sideways rain, underarm zip vents dump heat on steep, sweaty climbs, and an articulated fit leaves enough room to move freely over layers without feeling like a bag. When the storm breaks and the sun pushes back through, the Torrentshell stuffs into its own hand pocket and clips directly to a harness or tucks into a hip belt.
