This is one of my favorite of many brands of UV hoodies, its light, has a zippered pocket. The only thing i wish is that i got a lighter color. Have multiple for avoiding the sun as much as possible!

Bought this a month or so ago, and am so very glad I did!!! Love that it’s lightweight but durable sun protection, with or without using the attached hood! Great quality, too- would be in tatters if another company, but the quality is so good it’ll last for years! Is now my go-to choice of apparel!!’

This top is made of very soft, pretty, and comfortable fabric. The arms are nice and long; the thumb sleeves help keep the hands covered. The hood is big enough to provide decent face coverage. The small zip pocket is a nice touch. There are ways that this shirt could be improved. It could lose the tie at the waist. The drawstring is visually and physically distracting. It serves no clear purpose. Also, the top could be made better for warmer weather. It has no vents or any other features to deal with heat. This is odd for a sun protective garment. Finally the hood could protect the neck better from the sun if it had a snap or some other closure just under the jaw.

UPF long sleeve with more potential.

The fabric is soft and feels great against your skin, but it's pretty dense and doesn't dry as quickly as I'd like. Additionally, there is no odor technology. I wasn't a fan of the cord on the bottom. It might be useful for water sports, but if you're advertising this shirt for climbing, hiking, or backpacking, you have to consider all the things that come with wearing this piece. The cords feel like you have some straps hanging and interfering with all your other stuff (backpack belt, harness, etc.). Unfortunately, I had to cut the cords because they were so annoying. I don't find the side pocket particularly useful. It adds weight to the shirt, it's too small, and the zipper is tiny.

Seemed as if there was a factory defect with the seams upon first wear.

Did well to keep the sun off me and let the breeze through but within the first hour I wore it the stitching on the wrist started coming undone.

Perfect sun shirt.

Super soft and comfortable. This sun shirt fits very well and the construction seems great. Drawstring at the bottom is handy as well. Definitely worth the purchase price 👍

My favorite sun hoody that now doesn’t have my size

I LOVE this sun hoody! I was so sad to hear that mountain hardware is removing their plus size options and only doing straight sizing. There are SO MANY plus size people that love being outside and that need these products too! Please extend your sizes again!

This hoody SAVED ME!

I wore this every day for a 3 day backpacking trip during a heat wave and it SAVED me from crispy burned skin and from an all-out attack from the bugs on the trail (I did get a few bites through my pants and my shirt from the bugs that were super determined.) I didn't have to slather myself in sunblock (which would have made me sticky and attracted more bugs) and I avoided poisoning myself with gallons of bug spray. It kept me warm in the early mornings and cool in the heat of the day. The material is super soft and the pattern hid dirt and sweat marks. I rinsed it out in the evenings and I dunked it into every creek I passed during the day and it kept me cool and dried very quickly. Love it! When I got back home, I bought 2 more!

Odd fit

I retuned this item. I did not like the fit of this item. In addition to the strange waist cinch that others have referenced, the fit was not nearly as good/fluid as the crater lake pullover.

Perfect summer hoodie!

This hoodie is weightless and provides great sun protection. It fits well and is easy to wear all day.
