Minion DHR II 3C MaxxTerra EXO Wide-Trail/TR 29in Tire

Yes, the Minion DHR II TR is Tubeless Ready (TR) and can be run tubeless with sealant or mounted with a tube; the TR bead helps with initial inflation and sealing, but you should use tubeless‑compatible rims and sealant.

The Wide Trail (WT) 2.40 is optimized for a 35 mm inner rim and works well on rims roughly 30–40 mm inner width, and you should confirm your frame and fork have clearance for a 2.40" tire.

EXO+ combines SilkShield bead‑to‑bead protection with EXO sidewall reinforcement, providing noticeably stronger tread puncture resistance and a more stable sidewall; choose EXO+ if you ride rocky terrain, are heavier, or want maximum durability, while plain EXO saves weight for smoother trails.

The 3C MaxxTerra triple compound balances grip and durability for uphill and downhill adhesion, while the DHR II’s ramped center knobs and paddle‑shaped braking lugs improve acceleration and braking and the DHF‑style side knobs offer confident cornering—making it a grippy, rear‑specific choice.
