Silver Ridge Cargo Short

Some shorts weigh you down, some are so lightweight that they don't provide enough functional features, and some hit that sweet middle spot. The Columbia Men's Silver Ridge Cargo Shorts have lightweight, durable, and quick-drying ripstop nylon ideal for travel, camping, hiking, and backpacking while elastic sides and a low-profile belt mean your everyday belt can stick to its work and casual duties. Mesh pocket bags mean less material overall to maintain a non-restrictive feel while added Omni-Shade sun protection suits the long, hot days of summer.

Runs small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these for my son who has other Columbia shorts he bought. I brought the exact same size in two different styles, but the Silver Ridge Style ran small. It is not a true 32 waist. I would suggest going up a size.

Like No Pants, Only Better!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Want to maintain your modesty while feeling like you're not wearing pants at all? Colombia Silver Ridge Cargos (100% nylon ripstop material) feel, at worst, like fine Thai silk, and at best, like a cool breeze shimmering around your nether regions. Whether you're hiking, traveling, shopping, on dates, lounging at the beach, or just taking an afternoon nap, these are the best pants I've ever stepped into. If Colombia had provided the cast of Star Trek (TNG) with outfits made of this magical stuff, we'd never have heard of the 'Picard Maneuver.' Two deep cargo pockets on each side lay flat, so you don't need to google 'are cargos considered dad pants,' but expand when needed for camera lenses, gadgets, or small tools, along with regular side pockets that your keys won't chew up. Everything is kept in place with an amazing belt quick-lock system that actually keeps your pants up while letting you slip through airport security with ease. If it's true that love is the reason we're here, and we should shun material things, I've got to admit I fail—because I love these shorts. They never feel tight and are very forgiving if you happen to be a little rotund. My very smart-looking and functional anti-cargo-cargos. Get them!

Color not as shown

Pants are fine, but the color is not what I was expecting. Ordered Fossil, which is what I received. The picture online is much closer to white than the tan color I received. Are the pictures for Fossil and Tusk backwards?

Don't fit the same as before.

I ordered these in November for my husband to have this summer. They are the same size he has of the same exact shorts in 2 other colors that he has had for years. He went to put them on for the first time today and they don't fit the same. Very frustrating.

Quality has gone down

I bought several pairs three years and they were great. I recently bought new two pairs. The new version is made of recycled polyester which rubs against my skin. Also, the side zip down pocket is useless. I can't fit anything larger than a credit card.

“Try them you’ll love them!”

Most comfortable shorts I’ve ever owned. I own about 5 pairs. Living here in Florida it’s all wear. The light weight durable material makes them perfect for the oppressive humid heat in the summer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy Holidays everyone! I'm a long time Columbia fan. I have hiking shorts, convertible pants, and shirts just to name a few. Columbia products fit perfect and their sizes are true to fit. I wear them for most occasions, hiking, daytime, and night and weekend gatherings with friends, dinners etc. I even wore them with a sport coat at a nice dinner when I forgot to pack my dress slacks. Equally if not better, Columbia's Customer Care Team are outstanding. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The Convertible pants and shorts are perfect. Thank you Columbia!
