Men's Triathlon Clothing

A one-piece tri suit covers the body from shoulders to thighs and offers the most seamless transitions and less shifting between swim, bike, and run. Two-piece setups give more flexibility for layering and bathroom breaks, so pick a two-piece if you want outfit mixing without sacrificing snug fit.

Tri shorts use a thinner chamois—typically around 5–8 mm—so you get enough padding for the bike without the bulk that can restrict your run, while traditional cycling shorts often sit around 10–15 mm. This thinner pad helps reduce chafing and makes the transition to running feel more natural.

Look for chlorine-resistant, quick-drying fabrics with strong moisture-wicking properties to avoid waterlogging between disciplines and to dry fast on the bike; many tri swimwear pieces are built to that standard. Models like Zoot CompressRx highlight fast-drying, moisture-wicking materials and often include UV protection, which helps across open-water swims and sunny bike legs.

Sleeved tri tops add a bit of thermal coverage in colder water and can increase UV protection when rated for sun exposure, while sleeveless options maximize freedom for the swim. Consider sleeve length based on water temperature and look for garments with specified UV protection if sun exposure is a concern.

Compression garments are useful if you want added muscle support, improved moisture control, and slight thermal regulation during racing or long training days. Brands like Zoot CompressRx focus on compression technology, while Jakroo is known for high-quality, durable tri clothing that works well for custom-fit needs.
