Infant Green Down Jackets

Quilted packable jackets are ideal for family trips and mild cold since they compress to fit in a pocket and use lightweight nylon or polyester shells for breathability. Bubble or puffer styles trap more heat with thicker baffles, making them better for snowy play and harsh winter conditions.

Roomy fits and adjustable hems or cuffs make it easier to layer clothing and keep car-seat harnesses secure without bulky torsos or tight necks. Look for grow cuffs and relaxed hooded geometries in sizes from newborn to 24 months to extend use as your child grows.

For a strong warmth-to-weight ratio, aim for down in the 600–800 fill power range; 700 fill power like the Patagonia Baby Down Jacket gives good packability with warmth, while 800 fill power suits more extreme cold. Hybrid down-synthetic blends and hydrophobic-treated down also help maintain loft when kids get wet.

Yes — water-resistant puffers with DWR treatments or water-repellent finishes shed moisture while preserving insulation, so they handle damp snow better than untreated down. Models like The North Face infant puffers pair water resistance with adjustable fits for active winter play.

Packable puffers compress very small and many styles are designed to stow into their own pocket or a small stuff sack, making them great for travel or stroller storage. These jackets often use 100% recycled down or light nylon shells to balance compressibility and durability.
