Dura-Ace PD-R9300 pedals lower the shoe-to-pedal gap

The Shimano Dura-Ace PD-R9300 pedal drops the shoe-to-pedal interface to 12.5 millimeters, shortening the distance between foot and pedal axle for a more direct connection to the bike. A wider contact platform spreads pressure across a bigger surface during hard efforts, and a refined pedal shape with a wider cleat catch makes clipping in faster and more consistent. The included CL-SL110 cleats carry three degrees of float in each direction, with additional cleat options available for a tighter or looser range.

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I clipped in cold at the start of a crit and didn't have to hunt for the pedal, the wider catch found the cleat on the first try even with my foot moving fast."

SPD-SLR Pedals

Lower Stack, Expanded Contact

Inside The SPD-SLR Pedals

Narrowed Engagement Angle

A refined pedal shape narrows the engagement angle to 10.5°, down from 15.5° on SPD-SL, so your foot twists less for a quicker clip-in.

Lowered Stack Height

The shoe-to-pedal interface drops 2.3mm to a 12.5mm stack height, so your foot sits closer to the axle for more direct power transfer.

Increased Interface Stiffness

A stainless steel contact plate and refined bearings make the PD-R9300 11% stiffer with 53% less rotational resistance than PD-R8200, so more of your effort reaches the road.

A More Capable Cleat

The included CL-SL110 cleat offers a moderate 3 degrees of float, a lighter build cut by up to 22%, and high-contrast alignment marks for faster, more accurate cleat positioning.

Engineered As One System

SPD-SLR treats the shoe, cleat, and pedal as one connected system, not separate parts, so every contact point works to cut wasted movement and keep power moving efficiently from foot to road. The result is a connection you can feel with every pedal stroke.
