Your tires are the only thing connecting you to the road or trail, and their optimal tire pressure relies on a complex mix of rider weight, riding surface, tire and rim dimensions, as well as wheel and bike design. More importantly, tire pressure can have a bigger impact on speed and comfort than frame and wheel choice combined. So, Quarq decided that whatever can be measured, can be improved upon, and that idea has come to life in the TyreWiz Air Pressure Sensor. A first in the cycling world, this sensor delivers highly accurate, real-time tire pressure data to your cycling computer or smartphone to help you make decisions that'll affect rolling resistance, traction, tire wear, and your overall comfort.
Lightweight, durable, and powered by a long-lasting, user-replaceable coin cell battery, the TyreWiz provides personalized tire pressure recommendations directly to your smartphone or computer through its free-to-download TyreWiz app. This data is reported with +/- 2% accuracy at 0.1 PSI resolution, so you'll be rolling closer to your perfect PSI than ever before. It works with tube and tubeless tires, as well as tires with anti-flat sealant, and is also broadly compatible with tires that use a removable Presta-style valve core for added versatility. An IPX7 dustproof and waterproof rating gives it the protection it needs to handle uncertain weather and rough and rowdy rides, while the CR1632 battery delivers a whopping 300 hours of power, which is easy and inexpensive to replace when those 300 hours run their course.

Miss them when riding on my other Wheels
- I've put it through the wringer
- True to size
I often do long mixed surface rides 75-120 miles. Road to the gravel, then road to the store, then more gravel, some sand some mud, then road again. Wet, Dry, cold 30F, Hot 100+. These have really provided a real-time insight to what pressures I prefer on what surfaces/ temperature, wet/dry conditions. They have also helped me more than once realize I had a small puncture that sealed and I needed to add some air to get me back to the pressure I wanted to be at, before my legs were dead from riding 15-20 miles on low pressure tires. I have also used them to drop pressure after leaving the road and hitting some sandy/muddy/gravel sections. Are they a MUST? NO! Is having real time tire pressure data useful? Hell Yes! 3-8 psi on different gravel or temperature conditions feels worlds apart for: ride comfort, traction, and pedaling resistance. I was also shocked to see the increase and decrease in pressures over the length of a long ride and changes in surfaces. Good info to have if your starting on Gravel and ending on Road, or vise versa. Might need a second set for my other wheels :)

Are you able to see the data in the GPS unit?

My set weren't accurate
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I wanted to like these, but they were 15-20 psi off. I had to pump the tires up to around 20psi before they registered anything, then they said there was 2 to 3 psi in the tire. They both gave the same results. Not sure if they were both defective in the same way or what. There is no way to calibrate them, so you don't have many options.

- I've used it several times
I have tubeless tires and I never know when Stan's No Tubes sealant is running out. These things are easy to install and pair with my Garmin and iPhone. Already I found this am that the pressure had fallen slightly and I pumped them up. You can see the pressure on your Garmin as you pump them up. Amazing. I'm planning on buying more pairs for at least one of my other bikes.
