Great riding tires!

Tires roll fast and great puncture resistance. Road 5k + miles with 1 flat, high puncture resistance. Easy setup on zipp wheels. 30mm provide awesome cornering.

Excellent tires!

Replying to the other review, the 26mm tires should never be pumped up to 100psi and that's probably why they blew off. In contrast, I run 28s and inflate to about 60psi for smooth tarmac and less for broken roads or wet. They are extremely grippy and smooth with tons of control in tight crit corners. They manage to be smooth and supple while still feeling taught. These are some of the best and fastest road tires out there at the moment. They also do great at avoiding punctures. Whole heatedly recommend this for serious racers. They also mount easily enough though not the easiest though you can inflate them with a floor pump and no sealant to get them started.

How the heck do you set these things up?
I've been riding the tubed version of these tires the past season and thought they were great. When I decided to try tubeless I figured I would order Pirellis. They were the tightest tires I've come across to get them on the rim. I used some soapy water, hit the tires with a blast of air to get them to seat and make sure the system could hold air. All good, but I can't get either of the tires back off to add the sealant. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to cut these beans new tires off my wheels. You can't get anything between the bead and the rim.

Outstanding tires

I was told to expect around 1000 miles out of the S-Works Turbo Rapid Air tires that I started with. If you look at the review of those tires, you'll see a picture of one customer that had blistering after a short time. Same here. Went with these P Zero tires and have nothing but praise for them. Set them on the dash of my car for twenty minutes to warm them up and they slipped right on the rim without using any levers. I prefer Stans Race, so I didn't have to worry about (1) trying to get it through the stem, or, (2) making a puddle around my feet. Running fifteen pounds (front) and ten pounds (rear) below the pressure on the label makes for a very comfortable ride. Twenty mph corners are very sure and stable. After changing out of the Specialized, I ran the rest of the entire outdoor season on one set (2500 miles). Looking at them, there's still more life, but I'll probably start out fresh in the spring and see how long they go. I got one massive goat head in there and when I pulled it out the air started to escape. Turned the tire over and in seconds the Stans stopped it. Lost 8 pounds. Would have been less if I hadn't hesitated. FWIW, at 90 lbs, the 26c measures 27.124 OD

Best of the Best

No question, these are hands-down the best tubules road tires. I've ridden Continental 5000 TL and Specialized RapidAir. Those two are excellent on their own, very good choices. But Pirelli stands out: - very low rolling resistance. Immediately noticeable. - consistent cornering: unlike the Conti that force you to corner sharply, or Specialized that lose their cornering after only a few hundred miles. - superb road holding (left and right over bumps) and road handling (descending, cornering) - so far, amazing wear: I still have 25% to 30% tread after 1,500 miles. I would have been thrilled if they made it to 1,000. They exceed my expectations. - they hold the air better than other tubules tires. In fact, for the first few weeks, I was riding without sealant. They lose little to no air even after a few days of sitting idle. - relatively easy to mount on my difficult Campi Eurus rims. That's a bonus. Haven't tried removing them yet. Downside? Only one so far: - the PSI recommendations are 90 PSI for my weight. But that's a very hard ride. I've dropped them to 80 to make them more comfortable with some loss of stability in the corners. Hope this helps.
