Water bottle holders too small
All my regular backpacks hold my 32oz bottles and disappointed they do not fit this otherwise terrific waist pack.

Great option for shorte hikes
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

- 6L
I was tired of carrying traditional packs for short hikes in the heat. I wanted a mid-sized waist/lumbar pack that held two water bottles and had easy-access pockets in the straps. The Talon 6L had all the features I wanted. So far I’ve taken it on at least 5 hikes in the hot summer weather. The hikes were up to 5 miles on moderate to strenuous terrain. The pack was comfortable and did not shift during use, It held two full medium bottles of water, a first aid kit, epi pen, and other items. It allowed me to complete the hike without feeling overheated. Best of all, I could easily grab either bottle with moving or removing the pack. I highly recommend the Talon.

I was at Pack Rat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was at Pack Rat in Fayetteville Ar. when I found this butt pack, due to the heat around this place while mountain biking I figured for the summer time I would put away my Osprey ruck. Got online ordered one and I give it 5 stars. Holds my first aid kit and some snacks along with other small items and 2 water bottles. I've had it to Kessler mt and Slaughter Pen for some 15 mi rides. This will be my go to spring through fall. The balance is good on the tech trails, never know it's there. Great product, you will not be sorry for any Osprey products you purchase. Thanks for the great products.

Great alternative to a daypack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great alternative to a daypack when you don’t need as much capacity. Rides well and carries more than you’d think.

Decent pack, water bottle holders are worthless
I like the larger lumbar style, its nice not having something on your back. I am let down by the water bottle holders. They are too small. Anything over 20oz is not going to fit. They should have used some stretch material or made them big enough to fit nalgene bottle sizes. As is anything much bigger than a 16.9 oz water bottle is pushing it. I would live to be able to take more water with me for the kiddos than will fit.

I've been using this for the past month and I really enjoy it. I have water in on one side and spray in the other. The pockets are big enough that I can fit a lot in it for the day hikes I go on. I have a backpack but the straps rub against my upper arms. I don't have the problem with this. It feels like I'm not wearing anything.
