Great Traveling Bag

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Here are some of the pros of this bag: It has two day bags, easy access and packing abilities in the main compartment. Great straps and waist belt Cons are that the water carriers on the front couldn't fit my big water bottle when the pack is full and it's not quite handy for backpacking personally. I would say, this pack is mostly just travel! Overall, I'm still gonna try to use this as more to store my clothes and other things and have another person carry all the gears in their pack.

Needs a removable lid

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I was searching for a bag to carry sport and trad climbing equipment with full clam style opening. The clam style or duffel type opening option makes it nice to set up at the crag and have access to gear without having to pull everything out like you do with regular style opening. It also makes it easier to organize. The bag is a bit heavy heavy on it's own. The backpack that is attached to the front and can be zipped off is a great place to stow snacks, additional layers, toiletries, or smaller gear but is too heavy for such a small bag. Overall, the bag is too heavy without gear in it. I tested the bag on a backpacking trip and honestly found that it functioned poorly when packed fully. Because their is a removable backpack attached to the front of the bag and there is no lid like most backpacking bags, it shifts weight out instead of up. The problem with this is that the weight is distributed unevenly making it feel like you'd fall backwards with any imbalance to your feet and ultimately causes back pain. Honestly, the pack doesn't fit as much as I would think for 70L. It seems smaller because I can fit more in my 45L Gregory.

Just what I needed

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I am so glad that Osprey finally made a women's version of the Farpoint, their best selling travel pack. Finally one that fits my shorter torso! Well done! Leta Osprey Rep
