Why We Like The Lofoten GORE-TEX Insulated Jacket

We armor ourselves with the Lofoten when icy temps aim to steal our nose as we seek out steeper drops. Recycled fibers catch our heat and hold it close, making sure our body stays present for every grueling stride to the summit and every thrilling carve to the base. When howling winds lash us with crystalline dust, the celebrated GORE-TEX membrane shields us from the onslaught, while the snow skirt halts spray that tries to creep in as we shred the gnar.

  • Rugged jacket for frigid days chasing powder out of bounds
  • Recycled material delivers durability and quick-drying performance
  • GORE-TEX membrane provides reliable waterproofing, moisture control
  • Body-mapped synthetic insulation traps heat even when wet
  • Adjustable hood offers additional weather protection
  • Underarm zippered vents dump excess heat when needed
  • Powder skirt and integrated wrist gaiters stop snow
  • Six zippered pockets secure essentials throughout the day

Can't wait to wear it!

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:

I have been eyeing this jacket for a long time and cannot wait to test it out this winter! Our PNW snow is wet and heavy and on occasion, my current HH gear hasn't been able to withstand the elements. I ordered the orange in my usual size small. For reference, I am 5' 5.5", 120 lbs, straight figure. Fits perfect other than the sleeves are a little long (and I do have long arms). I originally ordered a medium to compare and since I run cold, I wanted to be able to really layer up but in this case, the sleeves were uncomfortably long. I've already worn it as a rain coat, it's very versatile and looks great both on and off the mtn. The orange is highly visible so my fam can easily spot me. I also ordered the pants! Love love love both pieces and should have purchased sooner! I do wish more colors were an option.

Love my jacket!

I've used it several times

Love this jacket. Insulated perfectly not too much not too little. My only thing with this jacket is that it’s sleeves are very long which makes them bunch in my armpit but if you size down you’ll be fine. Overall great jacket and I tried so many

Keeps you warm but poorly made

I've used it several times

I bought this jacket the end of last season as a treat to myself. It does in fact keep you very warm, however, the design of the jacket is rather lackluster. The zipper comes undone from the bottom on several ski days I’ve had, causing me to stop to open up and rezip my jacket. For how new and expensive it is, I’m kicking myself from not adding a bit more and going for a better quality jacket. Perhaps mine was defective, but I wouldn’t recommend this product.
