Not WH 7's, Hurt Feet
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I watched a video on these on YouTube right when they were released as WH 7's are hands down the BEST tennis shoe I have every owned and nothing can compare to them. I tried the 8's when they came out, a big fail and so I thought these might work, but they do not, I can only wear for an hour and then I need to take them off. Two main issues are 1). the toe box is smaller and 2). the seam of eyelet and tongue are seperate and cut into the skin. If you are a female that has any tiny bunion, these will not work. If you take your hand inside, from the toe box up and feel where the eyelets are and the tongue you'll feel the issue. It's like cut outs of fabric glued or sewed on the area that aren't smooth so you feel it. It pushes against the side of my toes and hurts. With the 7's I have bought brand new, packed and worn for the first time hiking for hours with no issues, there is no way possible I could do that in these. I would be in big trouble trying to hike in Yosemite or Big Bend in the WH 10's. Pros: they are very cushioned and the laces are better but my feet should not hurt when wearing for that short of time. Two times last week I was so focused going down a trail on the amount of pain I had rather than trail itself, not good here in Arizona. However Backcountry was great ordering from, very fast and detailed emails so would buy again from them.
