Winter trail running rewards commitment, and the La Sportiva Cyklon Cross GTX Trail Running Shoe is built to match it. When snow, slush, and cold mud line the trail, this shoe keeps you moving with confidence rather than sending you back to the treadmill.
GORE-TEX Extended Comfort delivers fully waterproof, breathable protection across the entire upper, while the integrated water-repellent stretch mesh gaiter seals out snow and debris at the ankle before it ever becomes a problem. The BOA Fit System replaces traditional lacing with a single dial that lets you fine-tune your fit on the fly without stopping or taking your gloves off. Underfoot, an injection-molded EVA midsole with stabilizing inserts and an OrthoLite Hybrid footbed absorbs impact and manages fatigue over long winter efforts, and the FriXion XF 2.0 outsole with 7mm lugs and Impact Brake System V-Groove bites into snow and ice with real authority. A TPU toe cap and micro-fiber mudguard handle the rocks and roots that do not disappear just because there is snow on the ground. Note that this shoe runs small, and sizing up is recommended.
