Why We Like The Index S2 Smart Scale
Whether you're training for a tri, making a commitment to getting healthy, or just working on getting ready for summer, Garmin's Index Smart Scale makes sticking to your plan a whole lot easier. It does all the classic scale things: weighing in pounds, kilograms, and even stone. It also tracks body mass index, body fat percentage, bone mass, and skeletal muscle mass, all of which are important data points for high-level athletes. The Index can recognize and remember up to 16 different users, and of course it can sync to Garmin Connect, the online platform that lets you track and analyze all your workout data, so you can see exactly how your workouts correspond to your goals.

Great scale with many advanced metrics
Great scale with many advanced metrics. Plus it uploads automatically to Garmin Connect. I only wish the metrics were more consistent from day to day.

Great if you have other garmin products and use th
Works great. The body fat percentage wasn’t accurate until I put my last reading into the app then it read correctly.

Pretty nice.
Once it is set up on your wifi, using it is very good. Admittedly I was going to purchase one but a friend decided it was too complicated for her and gave it to me. So, I was reluctant to accept as I thought it’s probably overkill, complicated and flakey. But it’s not. I really like this. It beams the weight and other metrics straight to Connect. Weight appears pretty accurate, I can’t say if other metrics are accurate.

Frustrated
Been frustrating to set up. The update does not seem to work and can’t get this to work. Definitely planning to return it

Overpriced Standard Scale
The S2 scale is no better than any other scale. It’s overpriced for a scale that can’t properly measure body fat, which has been an issue for years with this scale, Garmin has done nothing to fix the issue. Save your money and buy something that works.

Disappointed
It doesn’t sync properly nor stay connected to WiFi

Quite disappointed
I bought this to monitor at least part of my metrics besides weight. I have found my bone mass changing. I've replaced batteries and make sure it is in the same exact spot of the floor but with its incessant need to be lifted to turn on I'm not sure if I get it to tare properly. If the bone mass is off, I'm pretty sure none of the other data is really worth looking. Expensive scale that I could have just kept typing in the weight from my own scale. Also stop sending me this review request more than once!

Great features
The compatibility with the app and ease of use make it ideal for me and the family to use. So long as one downloads the app they are able to guage (with the help of the device) thier Water Weight, bone, and muscle mass, etc... My daughters and my wife enjoy it almost as much as I. The fact that we are all competitive makes it a nessasary peice of equipment in the home. LOL

Looks better and better screen
Looks better and better screen, however, it is much slower than the S1 making its calculations etc ... Hooking it up to the WiFi was a breeze - so much so that it was worth the upgrade just for this! My last one ate batteries ata rate of 4 a day - so I hope this one keeps them going a bit longer!!
