Why We Like The Index S2 Smart Scale
Whether you're training for a tri, making a commitment to getting healthy, or just working on getting ready for summer, Garmin's Index Smart Scale makes sticking to your plan a whole lot easier. It does all the classic scale things: weighing in pounds, kilograms, and even stone. It also tracks body mass index, body fat percentage, bone mass, and skeletal muscle mass, all of which are important data points for high-level athletes. The Index can recognize and remember up to 16 different users, and of course it can sync to Garmin Connect, the online platform that lets you track and analyze all your workout data, so you can see exactly how your workouts correspond to your goals.

Awesome scale
The scale is very cool. It does everything and I feel it helps motivate me to do my best every day.

Improvement over Wyze but connection not perfect
Love the features - bone mass, % fat seems much more accurate than Wyze scale, especially for a 76 yo male - but connection to phone sometimes takes a while

Not accurate
I actually received this as a gift and sent it back. I love Garmin, but this is a complete fail for them. I have a cheap scale that does all the same things and am confident on its accuracy.

Very Difficult to Add second user
We tried to add my wife to this scale and at this point she is still not added. We had to disconnect me as the primary user and add her, but then I was out. No response from Garmin yet and I did all the troubleshooting per the manual…it shouldn’t be this hard. If garmin would respond or fix it, I would reconsider this review.

Lots of features
I really like this scale, it seems to be more accurate than my old Fitbit scale. I like all the different measurements like bone, water, and muscle.

modern and accurate, slow to start
Bought about one month ago. Weigh myself for trending data on my Garmin watch/health app, not spot. Only quibble is the lag to power on when I stand on it - can be 30 seconds for some reason if not used for a few days...weird. I have a much cheaper scale at another home that opens instantly when I stand on it.

difficult to set up, returned the product
if you're just using this for one person, this is a great product to have. however, it is extremely difficult to set up for two people despite being advertised as being able to accommodate multiple profiles. we tried many times to trouble shoot, watched the garmin set up video, and still could not get it to work when trying to add the second profile. in looking online, many other people had this problem as well.

Nice design and features
Purchased this because I needed to measure my fat, muscle, bone and water percentages. This helps me manage my workouts at the gym to make sure I'm targeting the right areas. Like the integration with Connect and seeing my progress over time. Also the fact that my wife who uses Garmin as well can be a user.

Good info
Works great to provide weight and body composition info. Good for tracking daily. Helps to have Dexa info to input for BF accuracy

Happy
I have had the scale for several weeks now and it works well. I like how it connects to my Garmin App. It was easy to set up and I find that I use it more often because I have a record of my weight. It is a bit expensive but is a quality piece of equipment.
