Why We Like The Index S2 Smart Scale
Whether you're training for a tri, making a commitment to getting healthy, or just working on getting ready for summer, Garmin's Index Smart Scale makes sticking to your plan a whole lot easier. It does all the classic scale things: weighing in pounds, kilograms, and even stone. It also tracks body mass index, body fat percentage, bone mass, and skeletal muscle mass, all of which are important data points for high-level athletes. The Index can recognize and remember up to 16 different users, and of course it can sync to Garmin Connect, the online platform that lets you track and analyze all your workout data, so you can see exactly how your workouts correspond to your goals.

Sharp
Sharp looking, wealth of data- Having some read on my hydration was important and this fits the bill.

Minimal tracking in app, takes a while to turn on
I bought this about a month ago, so far not very impressed. The scale will not turn on if you stand on it immediately, you got to give it a nudge and then it’ll turn on. Tracking of BMI and fat % seem a bit off and very little customization on the app for different views

Very convenient for the Garmin ecosystem.
It provides a great experience and is mostly automatic logging of the measurements i'm interested in.

Garmin scale doesn't work
The scale only gives me my weight and BMI. It won't give me the body composition numbers that were the main selling point of the scale. I have tried all the methods recommended in the Garmin forums to fix the problem but nothing has worked so now I'm left with an expensive scale that only gives me my weight. Really disappointed in this product and the fact that Expert Voice doesn't offer returns on defective products such as this one.

Convenience and inaccuracy at a high price
The convenience of being able to step on the scale and have it automatically log to my garmin account and sync across my platforms is nice. However, the high cost might be too much for how inaccurate the body fat percentage is. It's at least 5% off from reality, which might be too much of a variance to justify the high price tag.

Great potential features, but needs documentation
I have had this for about a month. I use it every morning and night. It needs to be accompanied by background and standards for the data it displays. ie: what levels should body muscle, bone, fat and water be! And.. what do changes signify. My Omron scale came with such a dicoument. Your scale should also!

So far, so good!
Just got the scale. Set up was easy. Got both my Garmin Connect account, and my wife’s, set up quickly seems to be working fine c

Too difficult
My wife and I bought this to connect to our garmin watches and add some accountability to our journey. It's way too difficult and time consuming to connect more than 1 person to the scale. NOT USER FRIENDLY.
