    Brake on.

ENVE spent an immense amount of research and development time improving the braking surface on their carbon rims, and it stands to reason that an implicit part of that carbon braking system would include the ENVE Carbon Brake Pads.

With a goal of having a brake pad compound that will manage heat, minimize abrasion, and perform in wet conditions with ENVE rims, the Carbon Brake Pads provide braking functionality that will nearly make you forget that you're not braking on a good old fashioned aluminum rim. The interface between brake pad and rim functions so smoothly that you'll be able to confidently stop without worry that your brake pads will your presence with a screeching sound most closely resembling an angry owl.

Tested at length during the design process for the Smart ENVE System wheelsets, the ENVE Carbon Brake Pads will increase the longevity of the brake pad and the braking surface. Wet or dry, you can count on them to bring you to a stop without drama, and you'll have smooth modulation that will allow you to feather your brakes in the pack or 'round sweeping corners.

The Standard Braking Surface pads are designed to pair with ENVE's smooth surface braking track.

The Textured Braking Surface pads are designed to pair exclusively with ENVE's new brake track found on the ENVE SES 2.2, SES 7.8, and the most recent versions of the SES 3.4 and SES 4.5 wheelsets.

Please note that these pads are sold as a pair, and that they're available for both Campagnolo and SRAM/Shimano calipers.

    Campy version - horrible fitment

Got my replacement black campy pads yesterday and it won't slide into the brake pad holders so I had to use a Dremel with a stone grinder to take off a layer of material on all 4 pads and then force it into the slots. Grey pads slide into the slots perfectly, blacks are way off size.

SES 4.5 braking surface failing Week 4

    Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Flat city, 4-5 turn related braking, 400kms riding per week. Braking on dry is atrocious, you prey not hitting something. even with slight pad glaze removed with 120Grit, 150-180% of Zipps with Platinum or Yellow Stuff. 150% longer than DA carbons.. Close inspection reveals a degradation of the questionable cheese-grater pattern. Good in rain tried it once, bad on dry and 4 weeks, 1300+ kms seems to be headed to early failure...

    ENVE Pads

    Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Purchased as a gift for my brother. This was his review: "Necessary product if you are going to use your ENVE wheelset extensively. Also, the pads allow for superior stopping power in comparison to other brake pads" Short and to the point. Buy these if you need to replace your ENVE brake pads.

    Worked like a charm

These pads held up well and felt a little better than the SS Black Prince I ran prior to these. Not sure how to describe it but they felt really planted and solid through the lever reach. The SS felt a little more harsh, like an on/off switch.

    Enve brake pads

If you own a set of enve wheels, you'll have to throw these on your calipers. They work well, and last quite a while!

This is a must have item if you have Enve wheels

    Simple and reliable

    Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I use these for Enve wheels on my race bike and they work great. If there isn't much fork clearance and you have a very wide wheelset you may need to sand them down, but shouldn't need to on 95% of the bikes out there. Very satisfied!

    they work

    Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I had a set of yellow pads and thought either something was wrong with my brakes or my Enve wheels - they just didn't stop all that well, and were too grabby when they did engage. Enter gray pads from the left - now my brakes work like they're supposed to, and should have been using the entire time.

Jason - not only are they the best performing pads for ENVE wheels, but they are also the only ones that keep the 5 year warranty intact. http://enve.com/warranty/

A very excellent point to make note of!

    must have

if your riding enve's just put them on. it will keep the rim from premature wear and they just work great, last a long time, that simple, put them on.

The Only Pad I'd Use on Enve Carbon Rims

    Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've used Enve's pads for over a year now and wouldn't even consider going back to other OEM pads. They provide smoother deceleration, are more reliable, particulalrly in wet conditions and last longer than other brands. While the best I've tried, I find that the braking performance still does not match that of regular pads on an aluminum braking surface.

How long did they last? My braking surface shows delamination after 4 weeks... 4,000 wheelset..

Do these have a pocket on the back side to accept a set screw? Can't tell from the picture.

    Yes.
