The best snow pants I've owned
Not only are these pants insanely comfy, they keep you warm and dry no matter what the weather. These are the first pair of snowpants I've had where my butt doesn't get wet sitting in the snow. The Summit pant has a looser fit, so keep that in mind when sizing. I personally like this about them as it not only allows you to actually utilize the deep pockets, but allows for a full range of motion conducive to everything from touring the backcountry to the terrain park. I am 5'5 with a narrower waist and thighs, and I find the Small fits perfectly with a slightly baggier fit in the legs and a little room at the waist, which can be adjusted. Overall, I think these pants are the perfect trifecta of function, comfort, and style. I would recommend them for any lady looking for peak performance no matter the conditions on the mountain.

Awesome but huge
I have been eying these pants for some time so I was so excited to find last season's on sale! When they came and I pulled them out I was even more excited because they are exactly what I wanted in terms of material for backcountry ski touring -- gortex with super thin liner and good leg width for mobility. I am 5'3" and about 130 lbs, short in length but medium waist. I've ordered medium burton pants before and had a great fit, but these were HUGE. It's the only reason I can't give them a 5 star rating. The waist was double what I would have expected. So bummed!!! Back to square one...

I've put at least 25 days on these pants now, and a few weekends were I lived in them and slept in them. They're awesome, with all the right features and none of the wrong ones. Things I love: - Freedom of movement! The AK series is targeted for touring and I have been splitboard touring in these a bunch. They definitely give you movement range to freely skin. - Integrated gaiter/cuff to keep snow out of your boots - Awesome zippered pockets including beacon-sized zippered thigh pockets - Thigh zips (no mesh) for ventilation - Goretex is impervious to water and resuscitates after being washed - Right level of protection without insulation in a thick shell - Velcro tabs in the waistband to keep it on your hips - Jacket interface loop on the back waistband - Belt loops! - Have been bombproof in durability - Dark blue color is attractive but not too boring Love these pants! They have been worth the price to me many times over now.

AK Summit Pants
The Burton AK line (when you can afford it) is the absolute way to go, hands down. Burton has one of the best warranties in the field, they are always friendly and helpful on the phone, and the AK line of their stuff is BULLETPROOF. I've had multiple AK Jackets that I've worn for 3-4 years and are still going strong. I love the ability to layer underneath a shell that you are confident will keep you completely dry, no matter what the conditions... which is important when you live in the Pacific Northwest, where conditions can go from "OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING POWDER!" to "Aw F***, it's raining!" in a literal matter of minutes. I thought I would get some AK pants to suffice me in those wet, rainy days, but now they've just worked their way into my regular rotation... I wouldn't dare dreaming of wearing anything less than the Goretex rated 25k/25k now! A note about sizing in these pants: I am 5'5", 140 with somewhat beefier and muscular thighs for a woman. While the size Medium in these pants are just SLIGHTLY tighter in the thigh than I'm used to (nothing that affects rideability or performance), the waist size is ample, and I'm finding myself having to sinch that in to keep my pants up! The medium fit is super flattering, while still being functional, which is a gigantic plus. The other thing to keep in mind is that not all of the AK line is created equal in terms of fit. I fit comfortably into the Medium Summit pants, but trying on a Medium Stratus pants in the store was a different story- I almost couldn't get them off they were so much tighter! So I'd say the Summit run a bit larger, but not significantly so. Finally, the reason for 4 stars is simply because I haven't had a chance to properly put them through the ringer yet. The material seems a bit thin, and I worry with wear and landing hard on the ground/ rails (inevitably) when trying tricks, they will tear. But that hasn't happened yet, and I have faith in Burton. So we will see! I wear the darker blueish-greenish color pant (I believe it's called "Realm"), and it pairs fantastically with the Burton Blade Jacket! I call it the dream team ;)

Burton AK has really figured it out, I absolutely love their line. I just got these for the upcoming season, so I can't speak to technical function quite yet but I have no doubt that once winter comes I'll be just as stoked on them. To start, they just FEEL nice. Good weight- the gore isn't super stiff or crinkly, and the inside is silky soft (plus the booty area is lightly fleece lined too for extra comfort). I love all of the pockets, and the zippers seem to work seamlessly so far. The vents are bomber too- not lined, which I do prefer as the mesh always seems to get stuck in the zippers. As far as sizing goes, I do prefer a looser fit- I'm also one of those 'smelly' tele skiers so I definitely buy with extra room to accommodate for easy movement. I am 5'2, 120lbs, and have a 25in waist. I got the Mediums in these- perfect for layering while still being loose enough for my liking, and the internal sizing tabs in the waist help keep them in place better, especially with a belt. Overall, first impressions on these are top notch. I have the Blade Jacket and am stoked to have such a good match for the snows! I'll be back to update once I take them out on the sticks.

Love these pants!
These pants are great, they have a very flattering fit and fit just right. The waist is also adjustable too in case you wear layers underneath. These pants are extremely light, which is very nice and helpful. Burton stuff typically runs large, I ended up getting an extra small and I am a size 2-4 (normally I wear a small in other brands).
