Perfect for Touring Cold, Rainy Germany
I originally purchased the Ghost Max shoes (the blue/yellow Damon Brown special edition) to be my primary walking shoes this fall as I prepared for a week-long tour in southern Germany. After walking a couple of miles a day in them at home on regular pavement/sidewalks, I made a last-minute call to take them with me as my primary walking shoes for the trip. I walked around 5 miles every day on old, uneven cobblestone streets, bricks, stonework, etc., and never once felt unstable or off balance. Paired with merino wool socks, my feet never got cold despite the 3-10C/30-40F degree, rainy and windy weather. And though my fifty-something-year-old hips and knees may have hurt at the end of the day from all the walking/climbing, my feet never did! Perfect touring shoes! I did replace the regular shoes laces with elastic laces (with a slider for adjusting) to make them easy off/on at the airport, and those worked well for all the walking, too.

Going Back to Adrenalines
I typically run 3-5 miles per day on streets and sidewalks. I do not like these shoes as much as the Adrenalines that I have had in the past for the following reasons: 1) The curved bottom feels unstable 2) When the roads are wet, even a little bit from a sprinkler, I don't feel that I have good traction 3) My lower legs seem tighter and more uncomfortable than they did with the Adrenalines 4) The first 5 or so times that I wore these I got blisters on my feet (especially inner arch) which I never did before.

Love my Ghost’s I have narrow feet and these and Rebel fit perfect. The Ghost have a nice cushion but feel supportive.

My feet haven't touched the ground!
For years, friends and family have been telling me about Brooks shoes. I took the plunge and bought my first pair finally! I'm kicking myself with these lightweight, incredibly comfortable and supportive shoes for not listening sooner! They're terrific.

0/5 ⭐
While I do love my other pair of Brooks, Everytime I wear these ones I get a stitch in my calf after half a mile...everytime. These also are WALKING/RUNNING shoes - they will not keep you stable standing because of their propelling/bunch design. I'm probably just going to donate them since they're not helping me walk at all.

Great comfort, outside quality not so great
The feel of the shoes is great, once you put it on you want to run. I would rate is a 5 for comfort but only after 2 months of owning and about a month of true wearing the outer lining is already starting to fall apart. I'd like my shoes to last at least an year.

I LOVE this shoe for my recovery runs and walks. It was definitely an unexpected surprise. I do NOT wear Ghost and have never liked them...so was shocked by how much I loved this shoe! I tried running my longer runs in it, but they didn't work for that. So I keep them to lower mileage recovery runs and walks and love them for that!
