The Arbor Mantra Decon Snowboard is built for the first few seasons, when every run still feels like a small discovery. We start on a mellow groomer, easing into turns as the parabolic rocker profile smooths out the rough edges of learning, and by the end of the day we are chasing slightly steeper terrain with a little more nerve than we started with. A Highland core built on a balanced Poplar and Paulownia blend keeps the flex soft and approachable underfoot, while Grip Tech contact points and recycled steel edges add a level of hold that makes early turns feel more secure than expected. The extruded base is easy to maintain at home, one less thing to worry about while the focus stays on stacking days and building skill.
