    Diamonds are forever.

Wrap the Yaktrax Diamond Grip Crampon around your hiking boots or casual shoes when the terrain turns icy and slippery. This low-profile crampon features diamond-shaped steel beads that swivel in order to provide hundreds of biting edges. Yaktrax made the cable and grommets out of steel to assure long-lasting durability, and the heavy-duty rubber frame accommodates virtually any footwear you pair it with, except flip-flops maybe.

    Great for winter trails.

These work great for packed snow trails and ice during winter and even when it starts to get a little bit slushy. These are also very easy to get on and off and fit true to size.

Great to be able to get out in the winter months and let the dogs run.

      Making moves

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought these for my wife as a gift and she said they fit well and stay on the shoe when hiking. They're for a little extra grip when she's hiking during these spring months.

      Great Crampon for Winter Hikes!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Awesome pair of crampons from Yaktrax! I've used these a couple times on winter hikes with substantial elevation gains and have been really impressed so far.

The Diamond Grip is super durable and gets great traction. Would highly recommend if you are considering a pair.

A Definite Need for Frequent Snow Hiker

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These things are amazing. I have no idea why I ever tried to hike in slick conditions without these. They work great on boot pack trails when things get slick. I use these on basic day hikes to mountaineering when slopes aren't too icy or inclined. They are light weight which makes them great to throw in the pack for "just in case" conditions. They have taking a beating from snow, ice, rocks, and sand and have had no durability issues. I use these on my Asolo hiking boots. I wouldn't recommend these for use with shoes. They are very tight around the boot, which would cause a flimsy shoe too curl up. There are some less "intense" versions that would be better for that.

      Tough Chains

These are a little sturdier than the YAKTRAX Pro Shoe Crampon. I bought these as a Christmas gift for my dad, who intends to wear em in Iceland during the winter. The chain metal on the bottom will hopefully stand up to rougher terrain YAKTRAX Pro Shoe Crampon and, upon our initial inspection, they do seem to be a little more rugged.

        Great for winter trail running!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So thankful for these genius inventions! They allow me to trail run even in crazy winter conditions. I wear a pair of smalls over a size 8 Altra Lone Peak trail running shoes which have treads but not enough for snowy trails. I've been able to run on some pretty slippery terrain thanks to these guys. They are probably too intense for sidewalk ice but they do very well on off road snowy trails or roads with a pretty thick layer of ice and snow.
