Pure Race Saddle

Compared to other WTB saddles, the Pure Race has a little more cushion for your pedal pushin', but it doesn't have a significant weight penalty as a result of the extra padding. With its Cro-Moly steel rails, the Pure weighs 297g, which isn't featherlight but won't slow you down on cross-country or all-mountain rides.

Its dropped nose and rising whale-tail back prevent short hang-ups and give you a platform to push against when you're climbing, and the Flex-Tuned shell blends suppleness and responsiveness so you have great feel without getting hammered to smithereens on rough trails. WTB also outfitted the Pure Pro with enough padding to keep your undercarriage comfortable, even on long-haul rides.

  • Go the distance with this mountain biking and backpacking saddle
  • Extra padding enhances comfort on longer rides
  • Drop nose prevents hang-ups with your riding shorts
  • Whale-tail shape keeps your sit bones in the sweet spot
  • Cro-Moly rails and microfiber cover offer long-term durability
  • Flex-Tuned shell balances comfort and efficiency
  • Love Channel mitigates pain and numbness in soft tissues
  • ABR corners resist rips and tears on the saddle's edges

Great low priced saddle

I've put in about 200 miles on this saddle on rides up to 2.5 hours. I've usually had 142 mm saddles but the 148 on this feels great now that I don't race anymore. I usually put a level on my saddles and get it perfectly level so that it looks slightly tilted up. This one I had to raise the nose a little to get that good feeling. 4 put of 5 due to the weight.

Comfortable and Durable

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Only had it a month now, logging 50-75 miles on it riding various trails. Super comfy yet not overly squishy. It's survived several crashes without any damage yet. Rails are nice and straight too despite supporting 210 lbs. Looks great on my bike. Shape of seat is nice with tip of nose tapering down and back of seat a little elevated to push against when pedaling hard.

You're a Dipsh!t if you buy anything but

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Super comfy, sleek, tough, durable, cost effective. I've spent double and triple the price of what this gem costs with not even half as good results with me wanting to tap out halfway through a trail ride due to saddle discomfort. You can session all day and the NEXT quite comfortably, which I can't say with other saddles that made me want to set fire to them after a full 25-30+ mile heavy off road ride. I will never buy anything but WTB saddles.
