    Hit the heights.

Vasque's Skywalk GTX Men's Hiking Boot goes excellently with good times around the fire and all the miles it took to get you there. The rough-side-out leather offers a classic look, but it's been decked out with a waterproof Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane to keep your toes dry when the mountain skies open up. Sharp rocks, rugged trails, and long days aren't an issue, either, thanks to the Skywalk's PU footbed, PU midsole, and stable TPU shank. All of which team up to provide all-terrain stability and work with the Pyrenees rubber outsole to keep you stable as a table no matter the trail or conditions.

    • Comfort and waterproofing all in one boo
    • Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane is breathable and waterproof
    • PU midsole and footbed give you comfort on long hikes
    • TPU shank protects from unexpected trail hazards
    • Vasque Pyrenees outsole gives you plenty of grip and stability

    Stiff and Stylish

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

These boots are light, comfy and big on the ankle support. They style hard and are stiff enough to support when carrying a pack. The toe box was initially a little tight, but after a few long days they broke in nicely. Smooth leather around the inside of the ankle is a nice detail. So far the Gore Tex is killing it in and out of streams.

So happy this iconic boot is back!

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 11.5
    • Height: 6'
    • Weight: 191lbs

I have probably owned 10 pairs of this boot in my lifetime. I was aggravated when Vasque discontinued them but I'm elated they are back. After reading the first review on this page I was nervous but I took a chance. For me, they fit perfectly and the quality has actually improved. I wear an 11.5 in Nike and Adidas and the same is true in these boots. AWESOME!

    Narrow, Mis-sized, Cheap Boot

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small

These boots are mis-sized by at least a half size. The run small, narrow and the toe box is extremely narrow. These boots thrashed my feet. I'm an owner of an original pair, made in Italy, and the fit and quality are no where near what Vasque has put out by now making these cheaply in Vietnam.

     Narrow, Mis-sized, Cheap Boot

The shoes come in wide. Does not look like backcountry is carrying wide. I have wide feet and the 10W fit me perfectly. I found the quality to be good. Did these blisters happen while wearing silk liners? Sorry for your pain.

I don't think that issue was caused by the construction of the boot, however, it could have been a sizing issue, or not being broken in enough before you trekked in them. make sure you break them in first, and also, where the correct socks and make sure you have the correct size boots.

    Good Luck!

P.S. I purchased the same pair, and they are so durable, they needed to be broken in before I could trek in them. I started wearing them around the house and outside for short periods of time and then they felt alot better and I could wear them trekking. They are such a quality and durable boot it takes some effore to break them in first.

I have had an original Italian pair of these and I bought a pair of these new ones about a year ago. I wear a 12 wide and they fit like they were custom made! These are a bit stiffer and chunkier than the originals but the support is fantastic. Sounds like you didn't get measured and fitted correctly. If the size is correct then make sure to wear Marino wool socks with them as they breath the best and dry super fast which will go a long way towards keeping blisters at bay. Also make sure that they are WELL broken in before hitting a trail of any length. I wore mine to work and around town as well as long walks around the neighborhood. Make sure to take them off and rest your feet at the first sign of a hot spot before a blister has a chance to form. As long as the size is correct then follow my recommendations and these boots will be a great companion for years to come. I have worked in outdoor retail for many years and have had the opportunity to try out and own many of the best trail footwear out there and with a year and several hundred miles in mine I can truly and professionally say that these are some of the best boots I have ever worn.
