Nice Product, need parts
Purchased this cot in early 2022. Used it on one multi-day fly-in trip to northern BC. one of the plastic feet broke and a pole bent. ground wasn't very even. it was quite comfortable and the first time i've ever slept off the ground on one of these trips. a real treat! I have been waiting ever since for replacement parts. This cot is now a very expensive paperweight for close to two years. Have emailed customer service without response. Hunting partner on same trip had a helinox, is 60lbs heavier then I, and his held up great. May just go that route, but have been using Thermarest products since the early 90's and like to stick to the brand.

Great Product; need replacement foot and bar
Purchased 4 large ultralite cots earlier this year for my three grown sons and I for an Alaska adventure last month. Loved sleeping on the cots so much more than on the ground. Great product overall, but one black plastic foot and one gold bar broke and I need replacement parts. When will you have them in stock? Thanks.

Still using it after 5 years but has lots of duct tape on it.
I bought this cot for a cross country bikecamping trip in 2018. I am still using it today, most recently on a 1500 bike trip from Oregon to Colorado. The legs and attachments have never broken or snapped but I am very careful with them. The fabric itself has ripped in many places (some by just pushing down with my hand) but I use duct tape to patch it up. I love it because I can't sleep on the ground without getting a back ache and this gives me a good sleep. It is not warm by itself and for the cold nights in Wyoming I also used a pad. Alternatively, I've stuffed clothing between the cot and the ground to reduce the cold air. When the fabric is more duct tape than mat, I'll probably buy a new one.

Great product
I slept on this cot for 10 consecutive nights backpacking at Philmont. It is tricky to set up and tear down at first, but I got pretty good at it by the end. I used the cot with a NeoAir mattress on top - I slept as well as if I were in my bed at home. I treated the cot very carefully, since it does seem fragile and I really needed it to last the whole trek. I had one cracked but functioning foot and one slightly bent but functioning pole by the end. Otherwise it held up nicely to what I consider harsh conditions. BTW, I weigh 190 lbs.

Could be amazing and was
I had the best sleep and rest on this cot ! I didn’t even use a sleeping pad! It very quickly developed I light color line down the side of the top. The silver is showing through and I feel as though it will split at any moment. Soooo I can’t actually bring it camping. I only was able to use it inside my home 5 times before I noticed this. But those 5 nights were amazing!

I’m not sure why there’s so many bad reviews, this cot is everything I would expect of it. It’s lightweight so be gentle with it, it’s compact so it’s easy to bring anywhere and it’s easy to put together. Suggestions I would have for set up are- kneel, don’t stand on the rails when you set the support poles, this gets you closer to the cot so you have more control when inserting one end of the leg and pole, and while pulling up and towards the inserted end, slip the other end in, you don’t need to bend the pole any more than needed to slip the other end in. I have a bad back and can easily get the cot together in a few minutes, it’s about technique not brute force. The only thing I can criticize about this cot is it’s a bit noisy when you move around on it but that’s not a deal breaker for me, it’s so much more comfortable with my air pad than just the air pad. I’m headed for a 2week Trans Taiga ride in Canada this fall and very excited to have this cot to bring. And thank you Backcountry for a great price.

Good product. Does what its supposed to. No complaints. Be gentle, it's light weight not heavy duty! Set up is easy if you insert the side poles and then kneel with a knee next to each side pole and hook one foot of a foot assembly on one of the side poles and then pull up on the cross rod while pushing down on the other foot until it snaps on to other side pole.
