Why We Built The Stoic Bell Tent

We all go on those camping trips where we wish we could just straight-up transport our house to the great outdoors, but obviously, that's not an option. So we decided to make the cabin-sized Bell Tent for spacious and cozy camping. This teepee-style home away from home offers 182 square feet of space—all the room we need to dance around at night. The door and three windows also open up to offer views of the landscape, while providing much-needed ventilation for that dance party.

Awesome car camping/ long stay tent

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
13'

It's big. It's heavy. It's awesome. There's lots of space. The quality is very good for the price. We have used it twice, including one day of heavy rain. The inside stayed very dry. It's great to be able to stand up and have plenty of room for the kiddos to play a little indoors if the weather is poor for outdoor activities. A relatively larger area than the footprint and good staking conditions OR well placed trees for tie out are required for a good setup, but we haven't had a problem so far.

The best quality family tent!!!!!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

We have had a pop up camper the last 4 years. 2 days before our camping trip we opened it up and found that it had been leaking and had water damage. Long story short we have a 1 1/2 year old child and still were wanting to go camping but we needed the space as well as a tent that wasn’t thin and cheaply made. This tent checked all our boxes off. From the Thick canvas to the big tent pols that were actually metal not cheap fiberglass ones… To the size of it inside when it’s set up. To how quickly we could set it up. It takes about 5 to 10 mins of easy set up. Long story short we are having our pop up camper repaired and we have decided to sell it since we got this tent. It is not a light thin tent it’s actually a thick one that won’t rip and be trash at the end of the summer when you’re camping with your family. Our dogs had space inside as well. It’s a fantastic family tent and should definitely be marketed towards that side of the market. It’s literally the best family tent we have ever had.

Great Family Option

Bought this a while back for some trips this summer, downfall was the lack of reviews. Used this past weekend and wanted to help others. Set up very easy with only few directions needed. First time took maybe 15 minutes. Very large, slept 4 of us on 2 full size pads and a large dog kennel and all of our clothing bags. Plenty of walking room still available. We had wind and rain over the 3 days and there wasn't any leaking, and I didn't do anything extra to the seams. Wind ranged somewhere in the 20-50 mph range off and on through the nights. Tent held steady with minimal movement, all from the side taking the brunt of the force. Center pole barely moved at all, but never a concern with it falling. Inside stayed warm with temps in the upper 40's. Another 3 season tent was set up nearby that wasn't able to stay in use due to the wind. Luckily they brought a camper as well. Overall very happy with this purchase! Only thing I wish it really had was another opening or pole set up on the opposite side. Door opening creates a lot more room on that side, but due to how big the tent is it isn't necessary. I would definitely buy this again.

Loving it

Pleased with how quick and easy it is to setup after watching a YouTube best practice video. Everything from the tent material to the pole to the tie down ropes to the flooring feels of good quality materials. Lighter than canvas (though still fairly heavy overall) and less maintenance/hassle for when it gets wet or dirty. Haven't experienced a rainstorm yet, but seams are all taped so I imagine we'll be just fine. My family loves how spacious it is inside and the number of windows it has, which I anticipate will help with ventilation. Big enough inside we setup a movie projector inside and used a wall as the screen. The center pole has a couple metal rings to hang a light or fan from, and there's a few storage pockets around inside near the bottom wall. All in all we are thrilled with this tent.
