    The engineers at SRAM improved upon the first-generation Red crankset by going bigger, and ultimately offering a lighter, stiffer, and more precise crankset. Built with Exogram technology, the new SRAM Red BB30 Crankset uses a larger carbon-optimizing structure, which enables them to use less material without sacrificing stiffness.

    The crankset features a considerably burlier arm shape than previous versions with a true hollow cross section. The design also allows SRAM to rotate the spider in order to utilize the large, sturdy crank arm as a bolt anchor and reduce the number of spider arms to four, giving the cranks a sleek, air-splitting profile.

    The rotated spider also reduces deflection from shifting, which minimizes the previous generation's occasional tendency to hamper the precision and crispness of front shifts. To ensure compatibility with aftermarket chainrings, SRAM still uses a 130mm bolt circle diameter on the standard cranksets and 110mm bolt circle diameter on the compact cranksets.

    SRAM’s stiff X-GlideR chainrings are machined from 5mm thick 7075-T6 aluminum and have been carefully modified to work with the 11-speed drivetrain. The chainrings feature enhanced shift pins and shifted ramp profiles to work seamlessly with the Yaw-caged front derailleur.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

    This is going on my Allez sprint 1x crit bike that's soon to be built up. I used it for a bit on my team super 6 evo but loved it too much & want it on the bike I'll be on the most. (Training & racing) The evo is for hills & road races. As always SRAM w/SRAM works like butter. Shifting is smooth. I'll never go back to shimano.

    I have a Cannondale Synapse 1 with 10 speed Dura-Ace drive, except for the Cannondale BB30 carbon crank. The current crank is a 53/39 and I want to change over to a 50/34. Will the Sram Red BB30 work with this bike and the Dura-Ace drive train? Thanks, Curt

    These have the 30 diameter spindle correct? So they will work with the T47 BB?

    Hello, would you know the distance between the outer surface of the large chainring and the inner surface of the drive side crank arm? Would like to see if switching to SRAM Red 22 Crankset wold fix issue.
