    Surge Splitboard Binding

Spark R&D built the Surge Splitboard Binding for big days, big lines, and big mountains in the backcountry. Its Rip 'N' Flip highback is Spark's most robust highback to provide the stiffest feel for greater control in demanding terrain, and the baseplate is a single piece of CNC-machined aluminum for a solid performance that won't get flimsy overtime. The Pillow Line straps also have a solid, one-piece construction for durable longevity, and their all-around support lets you use the toe strap as a toe cap or a standard strap.

Not just stiff, the Surge is a fully featured binding to make the ascent and descent as easy as possible. The highback has a tool-free forward lean adjuster that you can customize from 0 to 22 degrees in ride mode, and touring mode boasts a staggering -13 degrees for easier hiking. The whammy bar climbing wire includes two heel risers to assist with the skin track's steeper sections. Finally, Spark's innovative Tesla T1 system attaches the binding to your board without easily-lost pins or flimsy brackets. Instead, the binding slides over Spark or Voile pucks and securely snaps in place. This system makes for quick-and-easy transitions as well as a solid ride downhill.

    Bulletproof binding!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I’ve had this binding on my split setup for the last 3 years with zero issues! Fastest binding to go from your to ride setup, and have experienced little to no trouble in freezing temps with ice built up. Riding my split with these bindings vs my snowboard there is almost no difference in ride quality due in no small part to this bindings burley build. If you are dropping the coin on a splitboard, don’t cheap out with the other bindings/baseplates, you will not regret it!

    Best split binding, no question!

How much do I like Spark R&D? This is the first year we are selling Spark bindings and I got them at full price! That should give you some indication. This is because this is the most durable and truely working splitbinding out on the market. I am a big advacate of less moving parts and this is the real deal. The Tesla T1 system is awesome, getting in and out of tour/ride mode takes seconds. Some other companies out there are prone to freezing parts causing a hassle (won't mention names). Just slide onto the pucks either sold by Voile or Spark and if there is ice build up. Well add muscle strength and in! The flip back on the binding gets you in and out of tour/ride mode in ease too. Straps are super durable! I have had the early model of the surge, if you recall the model, you been splitting for a bit (Spark R&D Afterburner) and I also updated that binding with a current spark highback, straps and sold it. Why am I telling you this? Durability. You can take a binding like that, give or take, 6 years old and fully revamp it with current parts. I have used other companies out there and this is the binding that never lets me down. Ever!

Hit me up if you have any questions split related.

    Best split binding, no question!
