I have the socks in several colors and they look and work fantastic when they are newer. Another commenter here wrote that they look disfigured after washing. I see what they mean, but once you put them on, they just stretch out to your foot and they look perfectly fine. The problem is the heels wear out too quickly. These are lightweight socks, so that you wear them with casual/work outfits. I don’t wear this type to hike or do anything rigorous. Sadly, I will not be buying this cable style anymore but I will continue to get thicker, Smartwool socks for outdoor pursuits. This cable style could benefit from my reinforcement in the heels.

Thin socks that keep falling down

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear size 7 and ordered a M. These were a little big before I washed them and kept falling down my ankles. After I washed them, the foot size shrunk to a perfect size for me, but the socks keep falling down my ankles, which drives me a bit crazy. I was looking for something warm and breathable, but these are a bit too thin to be warm. I may need to layer them or something. I like the crew socks better.

Definitely going to buy more in the future

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a pair of these socks about 11 years ago; they are terrific to this day. The two pairs of the same sock that I bought just now (10/5/2023) are made of very thin wool, and especially at the heels, where the yarn is so thin I can see through to my skin. The wool seems shabby, as if these are old socks being sold as new socks. I don't recommend them.

Best everyday socks out there!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the best everyday socks I've ever found. It's counterintuitive that wool socks are cooler in the summer, but they are! And the moisture wicking is incredible compared to cotton socks. They are a medium thickness and can work in any shoe with which I wear socks. And they wash and dry well. LOVE THEM!

A bit thin but still nice
