Wears out quickly
One of the socks wore through (and started to absorb water) at just 9 wearings. Before then, they were wonderfully dry and comfortable. I tried to send them to Sealskinz, not for an exchange, but merely to help them develop better future products. I did NOT want a refund or exchange. I gave up after receiving this: Good Morning Danny Thank you for your email. In the first instance we always advise that you should return your faulty product back to the original retailer as this is where you purchased the item and made your contract of sale. When your retailer received your payment, this made them responsible for the transaction, and as such they would be able to refund you that payment back, if this is what you requested. As we are based in the UK this would usually be the quickest way of resolving the problem for you. If the retailer is unable to help you then please do get back to us and I will be able to advise you further. Kind Regards Sarah Sealskinz Customer Service Team

I will admit your friends will think your crazy when you spend over $50 on a pair of socks, but the greatest piece of gear I purchased all year. I spend a lot of time hiking in Alpine areas, which are swamps when they are not frozen. I have hiked around 160 Kilometers in these in the last few months are they have some great qualities. I walk in Summer boots until the first frost and most time my boots are flooded with water either due to swamps, or river crossings. Great thing I pull my socks off after the 3-4 hour mark of hiking and feet are still dry, around the 5-6 hour mark water starts to get past the sock, Great part I put on a dry pair with saturated feet and at the end of the day my feet completely dried back out. Also these are a thicker style so it will warmer than a traditional dry wool hiking sock. So a socks that is extremely water proof and allows your feet to breath is great, hell finding a boot that does this is frustrating at times. Warning, Dont machine wash, I did one on a hard wash load and lining of the inner sock separated, still water proof, just the fabric bunches up when trying to put it on. Also Fitting for the sock is loose on your toe box area, but not bad once you get your boot on.
