    Make your own fate.

Don't let your horoscope dictate how you live your life—pull yourself up by the laces of your Scarpa Women's Zodiac Plus GTX Backpacking Boots, roll up your sleeves, and make your day a good one by exploring evergreen forests, high-mountain meadows, and remote summits. Designed to tackle almost any terrain you encounter as you blaze your own trail (or stick to the developed one), the Zodiac Plus is built with a waterproof and breathable membrane to keep your feet dry when conditions turn wet, and the aggressive Vibram sole gives you the traction necessary to stay upright whether you're hiking slick trails or rocky ridges.

Scarpa designed the Zodiac Plus with a slightly stiffer flex than its more mountaineering-focused Zodiac Tech boot, making this boot more trail-friendly than the Zodiac Tech, but a bit more adept at traveling above treeline with a heavy pack than Scarpa's R-Evolution boot. A Perwanger leather upper adds extra resistance against moisture from mushy alpine meadows and the unavoidable creek crossing, and the addition of a rubber rand across the toe and heel ensures that European-crafted leather remains intact when you encounter rocks, roots, and boulders throughout the course of which ever adventure you choose to embark on.

    • A trail-ready boot with an appetite for off-trail exploration
    • Waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane
    • Perwanger suede upper with protective rubber randing
    • Three-density midsole saves weight and maximizes cushioning
    • Asymmetric extended lacing offers a snug and secure fit
    • Vibram rubber sole leads the industry in durability
    • Sock-Fit construction reduces bulk and enhances fit
    • Scarpa has been reliable mountain boots for over 70 years

    The Comfiest Mountaineering Boot EVER

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I got these boots because I wanted to replace my Ahnus-- which I loved-- for something a bit more stiff and tech-y. I had been climbing some sketchy trails, and wanted something better suited for scrambling and ascending tougher stuff.

My first impression of the Zodiaks is that they are more firm and stiff than other boots I've owned-- especially in the toe-- which I loved. I felt very secure in these. The first test that I put them through was an early Autumn jaunt up one of my favorite trails, that features a ton of scrambling up wet rocks that streams pass over. I had tons of grip and felt sturdy the whole time.

To test their comfort, my next experience with the Zodiaks was a 2-day camping trip in the Presidentials. For new boots, they hurt my feet minimally (I wore them two days straight, for over 25 miles, and had only an average amount of discomfort).

Since then, these have been my go-to boots. I cannot rave about them enough. I will be continuing to buy Scarpas from now on as my boot of choice.

What size version am i supposed to buy? Like European or mondo (idk what mondo means)?

Compare your US size with the European size and you'll know what size to get .

For future reference Mondo was developed by ski boot manufacturers in order to create a universal sizing system (“mondo” meaning, “world”), Mondopoint is calculated by simply measuring the length of one's foot in centimeters, from the heel to the big toe.
