The Salomon X Approach Lace SJ Boa snowboard boots pair traditional laces with a Str8jkt Pro heel harness, so the laces handle the overall fit while the BOA Fit System-activated harness isolates the heel and locks it in place on its own. That separation means tightening the laces for a comfortable fit doesn't have to come at the cost of heel lift, since the harness is doing that job independently.
