Why We Like The Salomon Thundercross GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoe
Over rocky hills and through muddy dales, the Salomon Thundercross GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoe carries us with confidence. The generous cushion from the Energy Foam midsole provides comfort for long runs off the beaten path, and the GORE-TEX coating disperses mud and water while allowing our feet to breathe. Sturdy 5mm lugs made of Contagrip rubber allow our feet to find purchase on the slipperiest of slopes, minimizing how much energy we have to burn to stay upright. The Quicklace system secures the shoes on our feet, and the Sensifit technology minimizes how much our feet move and reduces any hot-spotting, so we can keep logging miles instead of getting laid up on the couch.

Best I have tried
These trail runners are amazing, my feet feel great. They haven't gotten wet and they also don't sweat.. worn about 6 times so far and on mountain trails. Love them

Laces don't stay tight possibly defective
I have 2 other pairs of Thundercross shoes which are not gore-tex fit great and are comfortable with laces staying put. This pair is different. The tongue is shorter and does not stay in place but scoots down no matter how tight I make it. When going on long walk I have to re cinch laces tighter numerous times as it keeps loosening and tongue moves farther under laces.

Might be better than XA pro 3D V9
I’m loving this shoe and it may become my new go to over the XA pro 3D V9. It’s much lighter and rolls over effortlessly. The toe box feels more refined as well. I’m recommending it to everyone who asks.

So Comfortable!
I’m 63, and purchased these runners for a holiday in the U.K. They are a cross between a runner and a hiking shoe, and they offered maximum cushioning for my joints. They are so comfortable, and I’m convinced I was able to walk further, and longer because of these shoes. Being waterproof was an added bonus. If I could change one thing, it would be to lose the lightening bolt around the shoe. A solid black shoe with black sole, would be perfect for travel. I know that’s not what these were necessarily intended for, but EVERYONE in Europe, and the U.K. seem to be wearing running shoes for touring around. Even in the evenings. It would be great to have a shoe like this that also went ok with dress pants. I hope Salomon will consider this for the future. This isn’t a criticism, but a suggestion. I love these shoes!

Comfortable and dust/sand repellent
I bought these for my wife and she immediately began wearing them to break them in. Comfortable right out of the box. Excellent traction and the goretex lining does keep feet and socks dry. They don’t allow sand to penetrate fabric as other models do

Awesome Winter Shoe
Love how this shoe fits. Right out of the box its comfortable; stable in the midfoot and a bit wider in the toe box. Plenty of rocker makes for a great ride and although you're sitting on a lot of foam, you never feel terribly high off the ground. Non-mesh upper is not super breathable but very warm and therefore my go-to cold weather shoe. Thick lugs also make it plenty rugged for snow.

Love these shoes!
I purchased these shoes because my feet were getting wet and toes feeling crunched and cold when competing and teaching on grass. So very happy I did!!! My feet stay dry and comfortable. Best shoes.

Perfect Shoes
I really love these eye-catching shoes. I have issue on my knees and need shoes of high cushioning and low drop. In terms of cushioning, theses are the best shoes I ever had, maximum cushioning and at the same time energy returning. Having low drop, these shoes remove the pressure on knees and after one month of wearing them, I feel less pain on my knees.
