Works as advertised, one small modification
Have owned many pairs of Salomons over the years, but this is the first pair of spiked shoes I have purchased. Was tired of stretchy rubber solutions, so gave this a try. Works very well, highly recommended. Comes with 12 spikes, I ordered some additional studs and put a 13th stud in the middle of the heel, does help considerably with rear heel slippage. Users, don't be shy about adding studs to these if you want more ice grip. Great shoe and looking forward to using these more next winter!

I bought this recently but the fit guide was wrong, upon requesting a refund I had to get a box, because I tossed it out = my fault. the refund came back without the shipping cost.

Love! Enjoyed Lake Elmo park ice run today
Love the spikes, enabling a run in a park I usually can’t run Dec-March due to ice. Lace-up is convenient for cold fingers, with the pull tuck-box invention. Will recommend to my 84-yr- old mom for safe grocery shopping through iced parking lots, and mail fetching. Enables winter life!

Good show for icy conditions
I haven’t put many miles on these yet, but they add some extra traction when running on icy surfaces compared to my speedcross shoes. I think the studs could be a little longer to help grip in snow/slush better, but I definitely feel more secure in these than my speedcross in similar conditions.

Fabulous traction on ice, snow, and muck.
The traction is remarkable on hikes with mixed consistencies. I’ve had the in high altitudes with snow and ice and the grip is amazing. And they do as well in any shoes in snowmelt and mud down lower. I live in a ski town and I also wear them to the post office on icy streets- bulletproof I’ve recommended them to many friends.

Awesome for Wisconsin Winters

Winter conditions
Purchased for a multitude of winter conditions on the fells and forest trails. Found them very comfortable and didn't require any working in. Excelled in snow and mud. But hoped for better traction on ice, found myself skidding over the top of it, so very glad I tested them out on the flat first.

Continuing a great tradition!
I have owned many Salomon products over the years. The last pair of speedcross 5 winter spikes lasted 3 years! I live and train mostly in Alaska. Most of my training is trail. These have been put to the test with many hundreds of miles with no fail. Feet still warm and dry, all spikes intact. This new version Speedcross 6 spikes is a welcome addition! Feet are dry and warm, aggressive tread and spikes work perfectly. Thanks Salomon! Please don’t ever discontinue this model!

The Perfect (Canadian) Winter Shoe
Without a doubt this is the best winter trail and running shoe I’ve ever bought. Incredibly comfortable and well fitting, they keep my feet perfectly dry and stick to snow, ice, slippery rocks like glue! The built in spikes are perfectly designed and placed for maximum grip with no slip. The shoe is very comfortable and, they look great. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Worth every penny.
