Why We Like The Salomon Sense Ride 5 Trail Running Shoe
Whether we're going for speed or distance, we lace into the Salomon Sense Ride 5 Trail Running Shoe. The breezy upper keeps our feet from overheating, while the ghillie lacing and Sensifit construction give our midfoot a customized hug to keep us comfortably locked over the platform. As we stride, the foam's balanced energy softens our strikes just as much as it powers our toe offs for a plush yet lively ride.

Don’t like this version
I have been wearing sense rides for several years now with 5 pairs, which I have enjoyed with the exception of one model having uppers that ripped. These are the worse iteration, they have a strange fit , wider (?) and just aren’t as comfortable as the older versions, also they aren’t as grippy in the trails. Please bring back the old 3 and 4 versions or something close and love to see shoes for those of us with a narrower foot!

Great trail running shoe
I used these for my 30km trail race. It held up well and no blisters! I would prefer my cushion in a shoe. But overall, solid shoe and great durability. I will race again with these shoes.

Love the look and feel
I'm not a regular trail runner, but I bought my first pair of Sense Rides three years ago for casual hiking, and I loved them. I bought these new Sense Ride 5s for the look and feel, especially for arch and heel support after an Achilles tendon injury. These shoes feel great!

Comfy support and style
I love the Sense Ride line and these were my second purchase. I’m not a regular trail runner, but I like these for the support, grip, and feel after an Achilles tendon injury. I’d buy them again!

Almost perfect
While the shoe excels in design and fit, the lack of breathability due to the extra material holding the tongue is a significant drawback.

Smaller than the previous model
I've run several versions of this shoe with great success, until the Sense 5. I am running the same size, but the toe box is small rubs blisters on my big toes when I run them. They are now in the donate pile because my toes are still recovering from the last run. I'm greatly disappointed as this shoe works well for the terrain in western Colorado.

Great shoe, but strings need adjusting.
I have worn Salomon’s for years. I usually purchase the speed cross, but went to yhis style as they appear to be a little bit lighter. I love the shoe, however, the strings need some adjusting. They almost have so much memory that they pull to one side. Overall great shoe!

Senses Says 10/10
I was annoyed having three different types of shoes for three different activities (lifting, trail running, and walking. Having owned many different Salomon shoes over the years, I had no doubt I could find a shoe that did it all for me, personally. So I started looking. I came across the new Sense Ride Five. They looked stable for trail running, and lifting weights at the gym, and from the reviews I read - they were really comfortable, so I thought they would probably be good for walking too. I ordered a pair, and tried them on as soon as I opened the box. WOW…super comfortable, very secure and structured soles, and awesome traction. Without a doubt I would say these check all the boxes for my personal interests. They may be made “specifically” for trail running, but they work for me and all of the different activities I like to do. I would 100% recommend these shoes. My only CON - Salomon ….PLEASE make more shoe selections that are conservative /traditional color schemes. Some of your shoes are awesome, but IN MY OPINION look clownish with the bright mix/match colors. It would just be nice for those of us who like the traditional athletic shoes colors to have more options. Thank you. For some reason I wasn’t able to down load a pic. I purchased the bright Teal and White shoes. I love them. I will always wear Salomon shoes!

My Favorite Salomon
Needed a new pair of Salomon Sense Rides for distance walking and hiking. These are the best! These shoes hold my foot steady and are super comfortable. The quick lace (no tie) is great. Just pull and secure.

Pretty but not comfy
I bought these about a month ago and I haven’t found them comfortable. My feet tend to hurt after I wear them. Perhaps they aren’t good for high arches.
