Why We Like The Salomon Sense Flow Jacket
Perfectly balancing weight, warmth, and breathability, the Salomon Sense Flow Jacket is primed and ready for our shoulder season runs. The Octa Loft insulation panels provide ultralight warmth, and the laser-cut vents allow excess heat to escape as we rack up the miles. The internal waist adjustment ensures we consistently enjoy a perfect fit and complete freedom of movement, and the thumb loop in the cuffs keeps our sleeves from riding up as we charge up steep terrain.

Lovely light windshield
This is my first running jacket and it was a great choice. I wanted something light to take the edge off the wind and the cold and it performs brilliantly - keeps the upper body warm in temperatures of 1-5C and keeps the wind off but doesn’t overheat in slightly higher temperatures when I would have previously run in just a t-shirt to avoid overheating. Seems like it will be great for late autumn to early spring - probably not enough if you live in a very cold place, and I wouldn’t want to see how it copes with thorns, snags or bushes as it is (obviously) light and thin, so no woodland trail running in this for me.

This is an innovative "hybrid" jacket that excels during moderate to high-level output in somewhat cold weather. Gone are the days of just a simple wind jacket, with companies now trying to do a better job at managing heat during aerobic activities. And with both perforations and strategically-placed insulation, the Sense Flow delivers. It manages heat very well for me with temps in the 40s(F), and the fabric is comfortable and quiet. With no hood, and being so lightweight, this isn't a storm jacket, and isn't meat to be. It's for those cold mornings or trails when you'll be pushing the pace and don't want to overheat. Salomon is really onto something with this jacket.
