You've put in the tempo runs, interval sets, hill repeats, and long runs all season long. I've been wearing these since I think the Sense 4 or 5. I use them in all terrain including summiting mountains here in Colorado and they do amazing. Great traction and I always feel my foot is supported whether I'm running or scrambling up rocks. They aren't great for the mud, but the SG version is for that.

The are super light so if you've been wearing maximal shoes work into them slowly.

    THE Trail Running Shoes

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Amazing traction and comfort from a shoe that is extremely lightweight. After trying many different trail running shoes over the last few years these have made it to the top of the list for me. Just wish there were more color options available!

I purchased these shoes for my wife, here's her take:
These shoes are bomb. They are super stream-lined, lightweight, and grippy. The 4mm drop is something I always have to build up to when hill climbing, but this shoe is worth the effort. They're my go-to for most activities and also the ones I throw into my suitcase for vacation (they pack down small). While I often have trouble with the width of men's shoes, these fit great and conform well to my foot without any bunching around the toe box. After trying a few other brands last season, I'm happy to be back in a pair of salomons.

I needed a new trail shoe and wanted something lighter than my Speedcross for the less technical terrain. Did I ever find it! On top of it, it handled like a BEAST on a technical 25km trail race in the Alps while on holiday. ZERO complaints!!

I have had every iteration of this shoe. This version has been updated and seems to be slightly roomier than the Sense 5. Overall the feel of the shoe is the same. It's low profile and lightweight, which makes it feel like you are not wearing anything (compared to other trail shoes). Expect to get less mileage from these compared to other more burly shoes, Its mud season here so I have gotten about 200 miles out of the tread due to running on both pavement.
