Top-shelf performance at a bargain price.
Brand new for Fall 2016, the Rip Curl Women's Dawn Patrol 4/3 Chest-Zip Full Wetsuit keeps you warm and mobile when you're surfing cold seas. It takes design cues from Rip Curl's high-end suits to offer performance and durability at a price that won't leave you living out of a van (unless you're already living there so you can surf every day, and in that case, we're jealous and please take us with you).
Constructed with Freeflex Superstretch neoprene in the body and super-light, super-stretchy E4 neoprene in the arms, it offers excellent flexibility for unrestricted paddling and shredding. The seams are glued and blind-stitched to minimize water penetration without limiting mobility, and E4 tape at critical stress points further enhances waterproofing and durability. The lock and slide chest-zip allows for easy entry and exit, and the three-hole drainage system allows excess water to escape. All of these things add up to deliver comfort and function in the water, without draining your bank account.

- Q & A
Stiff but durable.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
The wetsuit is not as stretchy as comparable 4/3 chestzips nor as warm (specifically versus Billabong Synergy 4/3 chestzip). I've used it several times already and still feels brand new, which is good in terms of durability, but not-so-good in terms of paddling power. It is not as warm as the Billabong but if you wear a rashguard underneath it helps a little, and the neck gasket is really tight so no water gets in there. Overall it's a pretty stiff suit but if you are looking for a suit more for durability then this is your suit. My Billabong, which is extremely comfortable, flexible and warm, is already showing major signs of wear after only 6 months of use. There is a trade-off. The orange panels are also very bright which are not accurately reflected in the photo.
