Let the Redwing Men's 6in Blacksmith Boots take you back to a time when boots were built to last a lifetime. The Blacksmith was a boot originally made for farriers, millwrights, and men who made their living by the sweat of their brow and strength of their own two hands. As you might expect, the Blacksmith is made to handle everything from long days spent behind a wrench in the shop to a long walk across town. They're made with a black leather that will only look better with time along with triple-stitched seams and a steel shank for added support. Their sole is a mini-lugged Vibram rubber that will ensure long-lasting performance whether you're wearing them for work, or play.

New Black Prairie Color
This color is insane. It's a brown leather with a black color on the face. As you wear it down the brown will slowly show through. Looks amazing aged! You can sort of see the brown inlay on the sides of the leather in this picture.
5 Stars - Size down
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: 7
- Height: 5'6"
- Weight: 160lbs
I was able to try these on before purchasing so I could mitigate the size issue everyone mentioned. I'm usually an 8 in most footwear (Vans, Seavees, Salomon, Nike) and ended up getting a 7 in these. My recommendation is to size down one full size. They do take some breaking in, but I didn't have any comfort issues out of the box - just some stiffness getting in/out of them.
There isn't a removable insole, but there is still a sufficient enough cushion for standing in them all day (i realize another review says otherwise). They're certainly more supportive/comfortable than the Vans/Nikes I referenced earlier. Overall I'm pleased with them and have no doubts they'll last me forever if I take care of them.
comfortable and look nice
Bought this for my nephew, he works as a waiter. They hold up to well to a long days work and look really nice.
Tough Old school boot!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 10.5

- Weight: 188lbs
This boot looks great! However if you are looking for a comfortable boot for walking for standing for long periods of time - you may want to keep looking. This boot will require a bit of a "break in" period. I have not doubt it will be able to hold up to most anything you through at it but needs certain enhancements to keep up with the times. I first noticed the weight of the boot. They are by no means light or should they be for what they are made to do. There is not a lot you can do for that. The boot is not cushioned. You will notice this right away after taking your first step. I added an insert $14 and it helped. I love the look of the boot and was willing to hang on to them knowing after break in they will be much more comfortable and last for years.
Nice But Size Down
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs large
Very high quality boot. I typically wear a size 8 in a street shoe so went with a 7.5 for the boot and still found them to be a full size too big. I compared them to my size 8 Sorel leather boot and these were a full inch longer. from heel to toe.
Love the boot but they just arent going to work.
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit: Runs small
I got these for my brother as a Christmas gift and he loves them! They're really comfortable and the mini lug affords a nice balance between class and utility. They also feel super durable. With the proper care, these boots could last a long time.
Also as a side note, he did some research before I purchased them and was told they run about a half size small.
The entire beckman collection gets updated with an amazingly comfortable and not aggressive looking Vibram Mini Lug! Perfect for the winter!!
