EXI BB124 Bottom Bracket

A press-fit bottom bracket is a method of installing the bottom bracket directly into the bike frame without threads. This design can reduce weight and improve stiffness, enhancing your bike's performance. If you're looking for a lightweight and efficient setup, a press-fit system might be the right choice for you.

The bottom bracket connects the bike frame to the crankset, allowing for smooth rotation of the pedals. A high-quality bottom bracket ensures better power transfer and a more efficient ride. Upgrading to a better bottom bracket can significantly enhance your overall cycling experience.

A 24mm spindle refers to the diameter of the spindle that connects the crank arms. This standard size is designed to provide optimal stiffness and performance for many modern bicycles. Choosing a bottom bracket with a 24mm spindle can help improve your bike's responsiveness and power transfer.

The claimed weight, such as 3.35oz (95g) for a bottom bracket, is crucial for cyclists focused on performance. A lighter bottom bracket can contribute to an overall lighter bike, which can enhance speed and agility, especially in competitive riding scenarios. If weight is a priority for you, consider the claimed weight when making your decision.

The type of biking you choose depends on your riding style and preferences. Cross-country biking is ideal for longer distances on varied terrain, trail biking is great for established paths, and enduro combines uphill and downhill racing with timed descents. Understanding these distinctions can help you select the right bike and components for your specific biking adventures.

Compatibility depends on several factors, including the frame's specifications, the type of bottom bracket (like press-fit), and the spindle size (like 24mm). Always check your bike's specifications and consult with a knowledgeable retailer or manufacturer to ensure you choose a bottom bracket that fits your bike perfectly.
