Rab built this hoodie around a 30D GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER shell in 100% recycled nylon, a durably windproof, water-resistant, and reliably breathable outer that eliminates wind chill on exposed terrain without trapping the heat generated by hard climbing effort. Inside, 800-fill down finished with Grangers hydrophobic treatment delivers lofty, packable warmth that holds its insulating properties in light moisture where untreated down would begin to fail, backed by a Pertex Quantum lining that is downproof, windproof, and water-resistant for an additional layer of weather protection at the interior. Articulated sleeves move naturally through dynamic climbing positions, and adjustable cuffs seal against gloves to block wind and snow at the wrist through every reach. The fully adjustable, helmet-compatible down-filled hood with a stiffened peak holds its shape in wind and keeps ears warm on the coldest and most exposed sections of the route, while four pockets including an internal mesh dump pocket keep essentials organized and accessible from the base of the climb to the summit.
