Good Quality Pant – Wide Leg Fit

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 155lbs

My husband has several pairs of Prana pants and loves the quality and functionality of them all. But he didn't LOVE the fit of the Brion's -- they seem to be a little more wide legged (especially at the bottom). However, for someone who wants a wider leg fit, these would fit the bill!

    Best all around pants

    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 195lbs

The most comfortable pants I've worn to date. I love how it stretches and moves with your body yet still comfortable to wear everyday. I've used it from hiking to climbing to a night out on the town. Its my go to pants.

    Perfect Peru Hike Pants!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I recommend these pants to any guy that is looking for a pant to hike in as well as use this as an everyday pant. Gave this as a gift for a friend to take to Peru. He loves them! The Zion Fabric is amazing!

    Go to anything pant.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 32 x 32
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 175lbs

These pants are amazing. They have all the technical features I'm looking for while out on hikes, camping, or climbing, yet they are sleek enough to wear in a casual to semi-professional setting. The only downside is they are not fireproof :(

    Super comfy and versatile

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 32 x 32
    • Height: 6'2"

Love these pants for wearing around town, the office, and hiking. They would be comfortable to climb in too. They run true to size for me. I love Prana's Zion stretch fabric. I really like the clean look of these over the cargo style of the Zion stretch pants. My one complaint is similar to other reviews, not a slim leg. Fit prefect everywhere. Except the leg could be a bit more narrow.

    Bell Bottoms

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 33x32
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 188lbs

I would not consider these an athletic fit. I am 5'11'' and 188. I ordered the 33x32. Although they are true to size at the waist and thighs (fit just how I like), the calfs and knees flare out quite a bit. I may have received a wonky pair but they seem like bell bottoms and looked pretty weird. I would caution anyone who buys them. On a positive note, the material and stitching seems high quality, as I would expect from Prana.

    Love em!

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 32x30
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 165lbs

The stretch in these pants is what makes them great! Theyre good looking pants that have served me well hiking with the fam, or climbing multipitch, although i wear them about everyday! They fit about how I'd expect, but heads up the dark khaki is not that dark.

    Best Hiking Pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 31x32
    • Height: 6'1"
    • Weight: 175lbs

These are some of the nicest hiking pants I've found.

The material is quite lightweight while still durable. I wear these day after day and they don't get disgusting fast. The material has a bit of stretch, doesn't get too wrinkly, and dries fast after rain..

Fit is solid - definitely not baggy on a skinnier guy like me but not slim cut and constricting. They allow plenty of flex when hiking or climbing. Waist size is accurate - I usually wear a 31-32 waist jean, due to the material 32 is a bit loose while a 31 fits perfectly. Length is the only place I dock these, although that's my legs' fault, not Prana's. I have long legs but the 34" inseam is still too long, while the 32" is too short. That's what tailors are for though.

    Fell in Love with Prana

    • Size Bought: 32x34

Extremely comfortable/durable pants! I ordered two pairs and instantly fell in love with them. I will be wearing these on every adventure within the foreseeable future.

    Fell in Love with Prana

Very comfortable. I work in a very hot mill, these are a game changer. Need more. I use these or Zion now. These breath much better than Kuhl Renegade.

Just got my 2nd pair and they feel exactly the same in size. I hope this style never changes!

    Comfort and Flex

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 155lbs

These are among the most comfortable pants I've ever owned. Light, but I'd feel comfortable climbing/hiking in them. The size seemed to have run a little large.

    Perfect pants.

Really have enjoyed these pants so much that I’ve purchased multiple pairs in several colors.. They are perfect for a light breathable pant that you can wear around the camp site or into town, they pack easy and have become my go to pants for international travel. Plenty of leg room and comfortable waist for those 8-18hr flights. Wear well and clean easily is a must when you don’t want to worry about finding a washing machine 8 time zones away from home. Strongly recommend

This is my son's first pair of hiking pants. He's never cared about what he wore hiking, previously. But finally, he trusts dad and is now living full-time in the Brion pants. How could you not?! They are everything you want in function and fashion.

The fit is true for my family. I would not call this a slim cut, like the previous review mentioned. They are definitely just normal to me. So, don't size up. Just get your normal size pant and will work for most people.

      Between Sizes

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Size Bought: 34X34
      • Height: 6'2"
      • Weight: 175lbs

First of all these pants are awesome but as you can see in most of the reviews the sizing can be a little tricky. I am a tall lean guy and I am constantly in between a 32-34 size pants. Since these are claimed as a slim cut I went with a 34 waist. Unfortunately though they are not a true slim cut and fit more like a regular or even a boot cut pair of pants. That being said I still really love the pants. With a belt they fit well and do not feel like they are sliding off my skinny body. The Scotch Guard finish really does help to keep stains and water off making them any travelers best friend. They are also super stretchy and comfy for a pair of pants that looks as clean and modern as these do. The material is also thick enough that they are more abrasion resistant than other outdoor pants but not so thick that they will not breath. I would definitely recommend these pants for anyone who is looking for a casual trails to cocktails pair of pants that fits in just as well in the bar as they do in the woods. Just be aware that you will most likely need a slightly smaller size compared to what you are used to or you may need to wear a belt.

      Choice above all other pants

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 36x34
      • Height: 6'4"
      • Weight: 215lbs

This is quickly becoming my default pant of choice. They are light and have great stretch, which makes them comfortable in a variety of situations. They are excellent on the trail or for everyday comfort. There is a slight flare at the base, so hiking with boots is made simple. Unlike the Stretch Zion Pant, these have riveted pockets for more durability. I got the Coffee Bean color and am very happy with the look.

      Not My Type

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 31x32
      • Height: 6'0"
      • Weight: 155lbs

Based off of the success I've had with the Brion shorts, I thought the pants would be another solid choice. Turns out I was wrong.

This is not to say there was any issue of quality or fuction, but rather how these pants fit my lean body type. I'd categorize the fit as being more "straight slim" than a true slim fit. As other reviewers have noted, the legs tend to flare quite a bit. I really wanted to like these pants, but I prefer a much slimmer profile than what they had to offer. Take a look at the Zogger Pant if you want a slim fit throughout.

      Super Awesome Bell-Bottoms

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 34x32
      • Height: 6'2"
      • Weight: 190lbs

These pants are amazing, I love the comfort and stretch. They look really nice and clean and they fit well until you get below the knee. At that point they just seem to have forgotten to taper the cut to match the “slim fit” profile so they end up looking like goofy bell-bottoms which makes them almost unwearable outside of recreational use, which in my mind defeats the entire point of these pants. I was looking for something that would look as appropriate at work or the bar as it does at the crag. If they fixed this issue I’d have 10 pairs of these but the current cut has me a little disappointed in this product.

Love the pants, but waist size off

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Size Bought: 33x30
      • Height: 5'9"
      • Weight: 180lbs

I’m a perfect 33 waist in the Prana stretch zion shorts and their jeans, but these were over a full inch bigger in the waist. Wanted to keep them, but had to return them. Would’ve exchanged them, but I’m afraid the thighs would then be too tight. Bummed, because the pants seemed like they’d be amazing for casual wear, hiking and travel.

      Classic Stretch Zion feel

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 28x30
      • Height: 5'7"
      • Weight: 135lbs

Another great style from Prana made with their classic Stretch Zion Fabric. These pants are great for everything. In my experience, they fit a little slimmer than the Stretch Zion's but are still true to Prana's sizing.

My Zion Pants size S are 17inches in waist (laid down flat) - they are perfect - need to find the corresponding size in the Brion Pant..
Please, could someone provide the actual waist measure when the Brion Pants are laid down flat.. Size 30 and 32...
      Thank you.

      Unanswered Question

Does anybody else find that the inseam runs long? For example, I am nearly always a 32x32 and even with the pRana WYATT, I wear a 32x32 but the Brion feels like a 31 inseam would be perfect. I'm trying both a 32 and 30 inseam. What's your take?

I have several pairs of these pants and love them. However, I notice that when I want to buy more my size is never available, in the colours I like. Being in Australia I can't try on clothes so I take a risk buying online. What are some brands that offer fitted or slim fit hiking/climbing pants, I hate baggy pants and like the feel of fitted pants with stretch like the brions. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Try Zipravs. They are Korean-made. The ones I got from Amazon fit great and appear to be pretty durable so far....The shipping from Korea was easier for me to get in Alaska than from the lower 48. They also run small. I wear a 30 and ordered a 32 and they are perfect. Good luck!

Thanks heaps buddy, believe it or not I have had a few wins with Korean made pants especially dress pants. I will check them out now. Thanks again!

UPDATE - I just bought two pairs, they look like exactly what I want, finally!

Are these basically the stretch zion pants but with a slimmer fit?

Although the picture makes them look a little slimmer they are a standard fit, just like the Stretch Zion pants. The Brion pant is a blend of the Bronson pant and the Stretch Zion pant. The Brion pant has the same fabric as the Zion but it doesn't have the built in adjustable belt, the roll up leg snaps or the cargo pocket. Like the Bronson, it has the 5 pocket styling with the reinforced rivet details. Essentially streamlining this style to be more of a casual feel but still with the same awesome, super durable fabric of the Zion, that we have all come to know and love.

And just a side note, they are also DWR coated :)
