    Protection for freestyle progression.

Pushing your freestyle ambitions requires a helmet that's not afraid to take a good licking, especially considering the unfathomable level of progression at the forefront of modern park and pipe riding. Packing a multi-impact EPP liner, the POC Auric Cut isn't a one-and-done helmet like the alternatives equipped with EPS foam. Instead, it's designed to take multiple impacts, sometimes successively, all without compromising the helmet's integrity or leaving you prone to damaging head injuries.

Dialing in an optimal fit, the helmet's adjustable fit system hugs your dome without it slipping or bobbing during fast-paced movements on the mountain. Adjustable ventilation gives you fine-tuned comfort through raging blizzards and balmy spring days alike. There's a large vent along the frontside that prevents fogging and perspiration build-up along your favorite goggles. Also, a removable clip keeps your goggles secure without migrating or slipping.

Covers Your Noggin on a Toboggan

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Yup. This is a quality helmet. Both the features and the fit are wonderful. The boa tightener makes adjustment easy and the vent system was all the options. I rode this helmet on a few resort days. Some were blistering cold and some were spring warm. I would recomend a head cover for the cold days and open vents on the warm. The one problem I had was with my hair getting caight in the vents when I was opening or closing them. This is pretty unavoidable with some hair types though so I cant complain too much about that and should just put on a head scarf next time. Wore the helmet with Scott and Dragon goggles and had no gap at the to so that worked out well. My nose was a little smooshed though with the goggle helmet combo. I would adjust the helmet at the top to get it nice then by the bottom my nose would be smashed again. I figure this was a sizing issue though and don't have any other negative feedback for the helmet. All in all a good buy. I felt safe on the slopes which is the most important part of wearing a helmet and you can't beat that.

    Great Helmet

Really loved the fit and comfort of this helmet. The front vents work great and will allow plenty of air to get in on warmer days and keep air out on those cold days. Strap on the back does a great job keeping goggles secure while on the head and off.

      Bought this helmet within minutes...

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is my everything helmet. Like. I mean it's all I wanted.
I like that it's cut over the forehead, and how it lines up with the Orb POC goggles.
      It's light, and it's comfortable.
Honestly- I bought it, and I love it.

Awesome helmet for an oval shaped head

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've had trouble finding a helmet that fits my head nice. I was able to demo this helmet recently and finally found the perfect fit! I have a narrower, oval shaped noggin and this helmet fits me like a glove. There's no padding on the chin strap which might be annoying for some people but I always where a buff or neck gaiter and it remains comfortable. It also integrates well with my Smith I/O goggles. The vents open and close so you're set for both warm or chilly days. Also the goggle retainer on the back of the helmet is easy to operate even with thick gloves on. Great design, great quality, I'm very impressed with POC.

      Great helmet

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I borrowed this for my husband to use for a ski day. He normally wears an L in helmets and the M/L fit great. Kept his head and ears warm without getting super sweaty. The bottom clip in the back for keeping your goggles in place is really loose/easy to detach though. I dropped it and almost lost it forever.

Neck Buckle release helmet during crash!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am seasoned skier and mountaineer for the last 20 years. And using a POC helmet i had a serious accident where the neck buckle of my POC helmet fail. By this i had a unvoluntare release of my helmet causing me serious injuries.

I cant be more disapointed about not only this helmet, but also this brand. I had no answer, no support... after several emails.

I strongly recomed anyone that is serious about their head to buy another brand with a better buckle system., The one used in POC is cheap and lacks of desing. POC is mostly about fashion.

I know that is one in a million chance to have an hyperflexion of the neck throwards your chest and cause excess preasure of the buckle and having release of the helmet. BUT, i think nowadays there is a HUGE offer of helmets and people should care about having the one that will remain attached to their head.

The buckle is the one used in this helmet.

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Here is what my friend said:

What’s not to love about the POC helmet? When I needed a new helmet I knew the only way for me to go was POC. POC helmets are comfortable, not bulky and very stylish. In the POC mountain bike helmet I wear a small so I went with the xs/sm and it fits great.
